Luxury Item for the Working Class
Watch is very classy-looking. Leather strap is thick and high quality. You would need to wear it a while for it to fit yourself. When I first put it on, the straps were kind of stiff and felt like my wrist were being clamped on either side. Lack of rotating bezel means there's more room for the watch face. The lume for the hands are a lot better than the lume on the markers. The bigger minute numerals are metallic. In low-light conditions where it's not quite dark enough for the lume to work, the large numerals reflect light like safety tapes. They are also very useful to tell the exact time quickly. Usually people can tell the hour at a glance even without number markings, but they might pause a little to get the minute right. In my photos I kept the plastic cover on, so it might look like the crystal is reflecting light. The watch face is a grayish color. It's more interesting than the plain black color so many other watches have but that's a personal preference. The watch I got has a movement slightly different from the one in the Amazon photo. The model number on the case back is still the same, so I think this is a newer version. The day of the week has every day painted twice. At first I thought I got a defect, where it meant to be dual language but got both in English. But according to a YouTube demonstration it might be intended for the English-speaking market. The day and date both change at midnight on the dot, with a snap. Very useful if you stay up past midnight. Overall this is a very nice watch. If you like high-quality Swiss-made mechanical watches but can't afford to pay thousands or more for one, Hamilton is still a mid-level brand. It will give you Swiss-quality without costing you an arm and a leg.

Classic
Iconic watch style from an even more iconic watch company. Don’t be fooled by the price, this Hamilton khaki auto is premium watchmaking for a surprisingly low price. The dial, also, is a stunner. The hours on the inside with embossed large brushed steel minutes flanking them looks period specific and modern in the same note. The exhibition back adds a stylish touch, unusual for a timepiece that can go 660 feet underwater. Masculine minimalism and durability in one package.

A great looking Swiss automatic for a 3 figure price?! Hard to beat for looks and value.
Really attractive watch. Very simple and masculine. Immediately started receiving compliments for the large, distinctive face. You should be prepared to find that there is a little less contrast between the numbers and the face than you can see from the picture, but to my eyes the muted grey face and raised silver numbers are part of what makes the watch attractive. Accuracy is well within the range of acceptable for an automatic movement. Even without a winder, it only loses about 4-5 seconds/day. Only cons so far: (1) The band, while attractive, is really stiff. As a result, it combines with the large face to make the watch a little uncomfortable, especially at first. I like to wear my watches pretty tight so that they don't flop around. It would probably be more comfortable if you don't mind wearing it loose. Not a big deal -- the band is a standard 22 mm spring-pin band, so it was not difficult or expensive to replace. (2) It doesn't store its "charge" as long as I expected. I haven't had many opportunities to test this, because I've worn it almost every day since it arrived, but the couple of times I skipped a day it seemed to stop after about 30 hours. I would expect 36-40, which would be on the low side for a quality automatic but would be sufficient to permit you to skip a day without having to set the time. Not a big deal either - it's a good idea to use a winder with an automatic watch anyway.

Great watch for the money.
I've owned this watch for a few months now and it's one of my favorite Hamilton watches. It's not too large and not too small. Very easy to read and the illumination is excellent. The movement used in this model is a very trusted and accurate movement. If you are looking for a Pilot Style watch you can't go wrong with this model. It's hard to find something comparable in quality and look. The only thing I find undesirable about the watch is the strap. It looks OK on the watch, but it's a bit too thin. I also own the X-Wind by Hamilton. I've swapped out straps and the X-Wind strap really changes the watch to look much more expensive.

Unfortunately, received a defective product, but it is beautiful.
Beautiful watch with details that are not appreciated in the pictures through Amazon. I owned the watch for about two weeks, only to work, and then one morning I woke up to find that the work stopped working and winding it didn't help. The gray face, metallic markers, size (I'm a big guy), and details make this a beautiful watch for the price. I would give it five stars, but mine didn't work, and I had to go through the return process. I automatically knock down two stars for that. The leather band is not the best, but not the worst. I was going to reorder this watch once my refund went through, but I found a Raymond Stein Nabucco for thousands, and I mean thousands, less than what the watch retails through CostCo. I ordered that instead while waiting for the refund to go through through Amazon figuring that I could return it physically if I was not happy with the Raymond Stein, given that jewelry availability is really limited through CostCo. This Hamilton is not on par with the Raymond Stein, but not from it. The Raymond Stein had additional complexities, tachymeter, details in the face, and is titanium. The size was about the same, both WR to 200m, and the night visibility is great in both watches. The leather on the Ramyond Weill band is of higher quality, softer, and with a more elegant buckle. I was going to re-order this Hamilton, but the Raymond Weil has been a great watch as well, and even though it costs a bit more than this one, I cannot pass on the once in a lifetime opportunity to own this watch at this price, and will be keeping it. Especially, since there has not been another watch offered at CostCo like it since I bought it about three weeks ago. The Hamilton is a great value, and I would not have gone shopping around if I didn't have to return it. If you are eying this piece, do not underestimate its value. You will surely be happy with it, so long as it's not defective. Give it a try. I'm glad I did.

Very poor support for problems
I loved this watch but a few months after I purchased it, the face of the watch all of sudden turned to the left misaligning the time arms with the numerals on the face. I understand that these things can happen but what I was most disappointed with was the level of service from WATCHZONE (the third party Amazon uses to sell this watch). This is an expensive watch yet when I queried Watchzone they essentially were not at all helpful in getting the watch fixed. They said in an email "we are not authorized dealers of Hamilton Watches" ... what? Then why are you selling them? IF you want this watch, I would buy it ELSEEWHERE. Shame on you Amazon for not more thoroughly vetting this provider. Very disappointing.

Even better in person
I must have looked at a dozen threads on this particular model and many were missing pictures. I even tried on the black faced version in a local jewelers and left unimpressed... But I took a chance and ordered this sight unseen and am so glad I did. I wanted an automatic hammy for a while, and just couldn't commit to any particular model. I was also concerned about the 46mm size... I am a rather big guy, and this looks perect and in scale with my frame. The movement is excellent, and while others have posted comments on the visibility of the brushed numbers does warrant consideration, I wouldn't change them. I think they add a lot of understated elegance to a high end field watch that otherwise would be missing something at this price point. With the pewter face and shiny brushed hands and numbers, this thing is slick. Jaw dropper yes... an heirloom quality piece that will be handed down to my boy in 20+ years with pride...
