Shopkins Lil Secrets Mini Playset - Sweet Retreat Candy Shop

I got this for my friend because we were doing a gift exchange. Turns out, my family had to hide it from me so that I wouldn’t keep it for myself! The play set was so cute and we loved the colors. Since, she has told me that she plays with it daily.

My 5 year old loves small toys, so I knew this would be up her alley.She has played with it daily since Christmas. She has even kept up with the itty bitty person and key set that comes with the set.I think the quality of the toy is pretty good, reminds me a lot of Polly Pockets when I was a child.I will probably buy her more sets like this.

Super cute little set for our 6 year old niece. She loves shopkins and they are hard to find now. She was thrilled with this little set. The key is a little hard to use but other than that it’s great!

The grandkids love these. Hats off to Moose toys for continuing to produce inexpensive toys like this. Toy companies are producing these tiny toys that come with a number of tiny accessories (wrapped separately) , and this is part of the trend.On the down side, there are NO instructions and you'd think you don't need them, but I had to get onto youtube to watch someone opening this toy. I could NOT get the front lock to open. Silly me, I am used to sticking a key into the keyhole and turning it, but NO, you stick the key in and push it. Even then, there were problems.A 5 year old could not initially open this on her own. Like me, she tried to turn the key and got nowhere.And even when you push the key in (which releases the latch) we still had troubles and couldn't figure out why the shop didn't open up.Each of these (at least the ones we've tried so far) open up slightly differently. So when you push the key into the hole (onto the latch) and it still seems to not open up, it's probably because you are are expecting it to open in a different way.The candy shop for example opens up quite differently from the cafe. Again youtube is invaluable for this. I would suggest that if you can't get it open on the first go, watch a video. It helped us.

I got these for my daughters after searching for cute polly pockets. Vintage are too expensive and new polly pockets look nothing like the old ones. These shopkins are perfectly cute and the girls love to visit each other's shops! Just Fyi- you gotta PUSH the key to open the set.

This is so much better than the new Polly pocket. So cute and portable I love the color and the unlocking features are so fun!

The keys to open these are flimsy. Rather that turning the key to open the house, you push the key in the keyhole. Unfortunately the lock is pretty tough and the key is pretty flimsy. I fear the keys will break before they are lost. The doors and folding things inside separate and fall off pretty easily too.It IS tough to complain too much given the price though. Just know that you are getting what you pay for.

Item packed well n i received way before estimated date, halfway accross the globe, happy to be able to purchase this at a good price.

Bought to play this with kids! The only drawback I would say is the opening mechanism with the key is not very intuitive. It's more of a "stick the key in the keyhole and wiggle it about until the house opens" rather than twisting and unlocking it which is what kids would usually do (and risk breaking the key if they twist or pull hard enough. Plus the toy doesn't have any sound or indication that it's already opened. But it's beautifully made, and some parts can risk getting pulled out, but everything can be snapped back into place easily enough.

Very cute and sturdy product. My daughter loved it. She locks the shops and unlocks it which is fun. A bit overpriced but its a nice one.
