Pontiac Firebird (82-92) Haynes Repair Manual

Millions of thee were printed and they are easy to find. I have one and find it somewhat helpful. I would recommend this if you need a manual quickly. If you have time (as many less were printed) wait for the genuine factory dealer service manual to come up for sale on Amazon. It is much more complete and detailed than the Hayes manual. There is not a lot of difference in price. If you own a Gen 3 Camaro a Factory Dealer Manual will only increase the value of your car. I would look for one even if you don't have an immediate need.

You need this book if you own a Trans am/ Firebird 82-92

I own a 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM. Recently it started overheating and I was getting quoted by shops for around $400-600 dollars. I wanted to buy this book and see if I could do the repairs needed myself. Surprising enough after reading through this book and following the step by step instructions I knew my engine almost aswell as the back of my hand... almost. Without any training, this book, and a few spare hours I got my car back up and running. I definitely recommend this book to ANYBODY with a trans AM.

I can't say much about this manual. But it did help me find more in-depth knowledge in the shop manual. And it ACTUALLY HAS PICTURES. lol I'm glad I bought this with the service manual, they both work great together, only thing I dislike is a couple of the bulb types being wrong. A 194 bulb will not fit in the socket for the lighting under the gear select panel. It's a 74 bulb. It might've been a 194 at some point, but it wasn't in '85, and I wish they made note of that when they published this. But it's still a good buy for general knowledge, and I love how the paper feels. -w-

Very basic

I am doing a frame-out restoration of my 1984 Trans Am and this manual is all that I could have asked for! It is detailed enough for my needs without being too 'geeky'. Thanks for the prompt shipping and care in getting it to me in mint condition.

The illustrations and written instructions are easy to follow and has helped me in restoring my Firebird. It shows specific detail for each model, which can be a large help. I highly recommend this manual if you are doing it yourself.

Habe nach langem hin und her überlegen doch beschlossen das Buch zu kaufen. Die bisherigen Rezensionen haben eigentlich alles schon gesagt. Kann dem nur zustimmen. Soweit ist es wirklich gut und verständlich, und ich denke ich werde es noch öfters brauchen. Die Bildern könnten für meinen Geschmack etwas Größer und deutlicher sein und Das teilweise technische Englisch bringt mich mehr an meine Grenzen als ich dachte. Aber das werte ich in keinster weise als negativ, denn ich kann dem Autor keinen Vorwurf darüber machen, das mein Englisch so schlecht ist. Da ich in keiner weise KFZ Ausbildung habe versteh ich manches sicherlich nicht so schnell, aber in Verbindung mit dem ein oder anderem Forum aus dem www ist das wirklich eine klasse Hilfe. Der Preis ist aus meiner Sicht i.o. Dafür bekommt man wirklich die wichtigsten Infos die man braucht. Ich habe keinen Vergleich zu anderen Handbüchern, da dies mein 1. Auto ist an dem ich selbst Hand anlege. Meiner Meinung nach, klare Kaufempfehlung !!
