Inspired by the men's range, Aiglentine wellingtons assert their individuality with their tightening tab and lugged outsole. Their equestrian design and contoured shape give them an elegant finish. It adapts ideally to your leg with its adjustable gusset. This rubber boot is handmade in France by one of the Aigle's master rubber craftsmen.

Love 'em.
Love these wellies. Have had Hunters wellies previously but they have not lasted the dog walking fields without punctures or me slipping everywhere. These Aigle wellies have a thicker sole with a better tread, they are neoprene lined so are warmer and the main leg part of the boot is more supple so more comfy to walk in. Only criticism is that the ankle area is a little larger, but a thick pair of socks helps that.I thought I would edit my review a year after buying these wellies.... they are still going strong, I've worn them almost every day for the past year whilst out with the dogs, on beaches, in woodland and through streams. I will admit that they only get a good clean down occasionally and they live in the boot of my car through heatwaves and sub zero temperatures but still they look good and, most importantly, they are still water tight....I still Love 'em.

Like many others I reluctantly abandoned Hunter wellies after the last pair developed cracks ..previous Hunter tall boots fitted perfectly around the leg. These Aigle boots ...after much online research on the Amazon site...,sounded like a good substitute. The are light and comfy on the feet but do not hug the whole leg like Hunters and are rather floppy, despite buying the smaller than usual size. A bit of a let down but will be wearing thicker socks soon so perhaps this will prevent the floppy leg syndrome! Wish Hunter had not gone downhill as I could walk for miles in the good old quality boots.

Beautifully crafted wellies Easy on Easy off!!
My size is normally 6-6 1/2..but have ended up with a size 5 1/2 which fits brilliantly. These are beautifully made, and feel great - easy to get on and off at the allottmnet, and look really good. I had tried Hunters on..and then found out that they were made in China (but with prices I would expect for English made!), and actually they did not feel very comfortable, and also dreadfully difficult to get them off.I researched carefully and found these lovely, French crafted boots, with good feedback, and so far, am thrilled. Will update after a little more wear!!

Dog walking boots for 365 days a year
Ordered size 7, ( I'm normally a size 7.5. )but they are very roomy around foot and heel I've still kept them and just bought a pair of sorbothane insoles because they are just so comfy especially with a thick pair of socks. The grip is very good on muddy walks with the dogs. So much better than the last 3 pairs of Hunters which only lasted just over 12 months (so out of guarantee) before splitting. The Aigles are not as tall as hunter but infinitely better quality. Should probably have ordered a 6.5 but couldn't be bothered returning them.Still given them a 5 star rating as i love them.

Having recently bought cheaper Wellingtons, only to have them split after six weeks, I decided it was time to invest in a pair of genuine rubber Wellingtons. They are well worth the extra money. They are comfortable, easy to get into (and out of!) and flexible enough to take thicker socks without squashing the toes! I can thoroughly recommend them.

Wish I'd bought these years ago instead of making do with cheap ones. They are so comfortable, they look heavy and cumbersome but they are much lighter than my cheap ones and I think the comfort has a lot to do with the fact that they are soft and flexible. I ordered my shoe size (5) and there is plenty of room for thick socks if necessary. Worth the extra expense.

Good welly (third time lucky)
After a bad start with Aigle (I had to return the fur-lined pair I bought from Amazon due to the toes coming away from the sole, and leaking after just a few weeks of use) I tried some Le Chameau, but those gave me blisters, so back to Amazon they went. My friend has Aigle, and the pair my husband bought were great too, so I decided to give Aigle a second chance. This style seems to be much better, there's some flex, which means the rubber isn't under tension so much, which is why I suspect the fur lines ones failed. I haven't tried these on a long muddy walk yet but I suspect they'll be fine. So, third time lucky!

Style!
Arrived today so haven't tested durability but....after trying on many other branded names, I can honestly say that the fit of this boot is the absolute best for me, everything else has been too high at the back of my leg. My height is 5'1", slim legs and a wearer of skinny jeans. Usually, depending on uk sizing or euro sizing, I'm either a size 5 or 6. I read other reviews about sizing and opted for the 5. Have to say. my toe is very near the edge but...the width is perfect and even with a thicker sock the boots are comfortable. Absolutely love the style, they are cut lower at the back of the knee and are so neat on the leg. The rubber is much softer than other brands but for me this is a bonus, I only need for 'beach' walking and 'wet grass' walking. Very stylish, look like riding boots, highly recommend.
