I'm THRILLED Robert Piguet is making Baghari again. I've kept a bottle that was my mother's for 23 years. I thought it was the last bottle of Baghari on Earth and have kept it very carefully all this time because just a whiff of it brings my mother back to me. She always wore this or JOY. When I saw Baghari was available again I bought it instantly. It may not be exactly like the original fragrance but it's so close it's Divine--to me. How to describe the perfume? It's like my mum: Elegant, old-school, chic.

I have to admit I'm VERY surprised I like this perfume. I ordered this thinking I might give it to my husband's grandmother for Christmas, especially after reading the in the reviews that it was powdery, heavy, reminded people of their moms. And I will be the first to admit there is a sort of "yesteryear" quality to this fragrance but I find it less "old lady" and more "romantic and classic" in a Chanel/rose water/bath powder sort of way.I do find this perfume comes on VERY strong, almost with an almost aggressive quality that I found initially kind of off-putting. However, I think now I see that as a means to an end, as that effect does not last long (20 minutes maybe?) and quickly gives way to more gentle, mellow, extremely romantic notes rich with floral harmony and a touch of warmth. I normally do not like scents that have any hint of vanilla whatsoever but the is-it-there-or-isn't-it-kiss-of-a-whisper version of it in this scent is remarkably light and not at all sugary or cloying. As for longevity, I'd say it's quite good. One single spritz is not only fragrant to others, but even noticeable to my own nose for several hours. The initial scent is extremely strong, but the secondary/primary notes are much more toned down.The only negative feedback I have about this perfume - and it's minor, I guess - is that for the price, I think the bottle should have a stamped/enameled label. A sticker is...very disappointing. For nearly $200 I would love to see a molded bottle even, or just something that felt a little more collectible/like a luxury keepsake. Besides that this is a gorgeous fragrance with which I am overall delighted. Yes, it is a little deep and flowery but there's something to that type of scent that, when done right, is truly a celebration of classically feminine and charming yet quietly strong women of the past. Remember, our grandmothers weren't always old ladies. They were spritzing Chanel on their wrists and dabbing rose water on their cheeks and puffing talcum powder on their chests in their 20s, and they carried those self care luxuries with them into their golden years. Just like I probably will, and you should with your favorite things, too. And who knows - maybe this scent will be among them! Recommended.

Smells like a heavily scented spiritual essential oils to me. Like frankincense myrrh with deep musky notes. I like those smells, but to wear it as perfume not sure 🤷🏻‍♀️. is it doesn’t last long…. The listing stated it’s a edu toilet in some areas, but the bottle says it’s parfum. Lasting power is simply not there at all for parfum with this premium price tag. I find it a bit disappointing. It’s ok. Not sure if I sold on the fragrance notes and I enjoy parfum quite a bit - a bit of a perfume snob.

I got this on a whim to try out and think while it's up there in cost with most designer perfumes and colognes I recall purchasing the last 15ish years, its got something special going for it.It has a sort of timeless classy scent. Nothing overpowering or too fruity. It almost has a scent that reminds me of some kind of creamy texture. Sort of off to think of a smell more like a texture. The bottle looks a bit more masculine with its edges and dark color. The cap sits on the bottle firmly and I think provides a nice experience not being something cheap feeling that just pops off/on.My only thought and maybe this is typical of perfumes and I never realized, the spray seems to be a bit of a heavier mist than I'd anticipated with 1 pump of the button. The first spray I did was just in the air in my bathroom. I'd say some 30 minutes later I can still catch some of that smell about 20ft away in another bedroom. If I'd be applying to my person, I wouldn't go with a full spray but that's my preference to have a more mellow and subtle scent versus a full on spray that while it's not offensive to me, it's still possible it can come off strong if a lot is applied.With the occasional and lighter use, I'd expect this will last for years to come.

I am a big fan Robert Piguet perfumes as they are very unique and you barely can find any similar smell in other brands that's why so many people don't like this brand's perfumes. I have tried a few different perfumes of this brand and I should say this one is my new favorite. It's very flowery smell and mostly roses and Jasmine. Although it's a very expensive perfume but it stays so long and I love it.

This has a baby powder smell on me that I am just not fond of. It also did not last as long as I was expecting. I can see where others would love it, but it just did not work well for me.

Scents are very personal, and I personally didn’t like this at all.To me it smell like a hotel soap. Not my style.But, it does last very long.It is concentrated so you really need 1-2 puff so it can last all day.I have sensitive skin and did not make me react.Did not stain my clothes either.
