I bought two of these to put on the top of a table I use to display crafts at a craft show. This effectively doubles my usable space! The shelves are sturdy enough to hold a good bit of weight.You'll need a philips screwdriver AND a pair of pliers (preferably needle-nose pliers) to put this together. I finally figured out that the heads of all bolts need to be placed toward the center, with the cap nuts on the outside; this will give you room to turn the screwdriver freely while still holding the cap nut with the pliers. I placed the bookcase on its back and started with the top shelf, then worked my way down to the other shelves.

Very cute little bookcase, easy to assemble, seems very sturdy. Ordered Oct 22, received Oct 24. (Estimated delivery date range was Oct 28 - Nov 2.) Well-packaged.

Sturdy, easy to assemble, and sturdy! Works beautifully as a shoe rack for the foyer (I lashed two together).
