2014 album from the Grammy-winning Roots/Rock band. Working with acclaimed producer Don Gehman (R.E.M., Mellencamp) and Emmy award winning composer/producer Matthew Gerrard, this is the first time the band has significantly embarked on co-writing. Rolling Stone says, "The rockers combine their musical roots with bluesy Rock, harmonizing on tales of difficult times and romantic interests - packing in some slick guitar work between the storytelling."

Let's Try Out This Superlative Gem
After taking a two-year hiatus from recording following some heavy touring and and time with family members, Los Lonely Boys have made their return to the rock charts with this slick harmonic CD in 2014 that found the band in top form where it provided them another highly successful classic. Revelation is an excellent labour of love that is well-showcased by boisterous rhythms, harmonic stylings, top notch songwriting and absolute provocation that are perpetuated with a fascinating beat, done in a style of their own. Beginning with the upbeat opening track Blame It On Love, the track set conclude on other memorable songs like Give A Little Bit More, It’s Just My Heart Talking, the uniquely optimistic There’s Always Tomorrow, Don’t Walk Away, The Greatest Ever, the self-determining Rule The World and even the final track Everything About You, which gives you close to an hour of unforgettable music. Featuring the band’s fantastic brand of Texican Rock, Revelation bring out another set of exhilarating guitar solos and a cunning virtuosity played with vibrant fervor, highly-paced zenith, bright harmony and real brotherhood camaraderie that made this album such a fascinating hit. So once again, here is another memorable successful achievement by Los Lonely Boys which truly deserve equal recognition as does their priceless works—and as a timeless testament for the band.

Los Lonley Boys Are Back Stronger Than Ever
I'm a radio guy and hear lots of music. Usually you can size up a song in the first 20 seconds. In fact, if you can't grab my ear in that time, chances are I'm off to the next song. After the popularity of Heaven, this album was a treat. You still get the classic Lonely Boys signature sound but it is formulated to catch on fast and not overstep the solos to the point the adult contemporary listener will cry 'uncle'. Most impressive is the varied sound. You get hints of Santana, British Rock, Beatles, Smooth Soul and even South of the Border drinking music. Logically, you detect the 'seasoning' that does spice up these songs nicely.I even tried the old radio station music director trick: give it a 20 second listen and put it in the stack to hear again in about a week. If it is instantly recognizable and familiar, your gut says give it a few spins to see if your audience agrees. I can say almost every song on this album passes this test.Don't be surprised if you like it today and hate it tomorrow because you can't get it out of your head!Los Lonely Boys had the right team and lots of hard work behind this one. Now let's see some singles get some play! They deserve it.

A slight return in some ways to their early days
This album is good. Not as good as the debut album or Sacred, but it is better than Forgiven and Rockpango. With the exception of a couple songs from the last couple releases, these guys had just gone bland. Forgiven had "You Can't See the Light", Staying With Me", and "Heart Won't Tell a Lie" most of the rest was bland and repetitive. On Rockpango, they had "American Idle", "Believe" "Smile", "Change the World", "Baby Girl" and "Road to Nowhere" the rest took the band in directions they shouldn't have gone in. This album has more of that experimentation, but this time, they had made experiments. This song does have a few songs that are not so good. The opening track, for instance, is not a good representation of the album. On some songs here the return to their pop influenced texican rock. On others they return to what made the band great. And, for the first time since Forgiven, Henry uses his signature wah wah. The album experiments with more sounds from below the border than they've used before on a couple songs. It also experiments with heavy metal and led Zeppelin styled riffing on a couple of the other songs. Some of the experiments are good, some not so good. It's probably their best release since Sacred with the possible exception of the acoustic live album.

Revelation works, the boys got this one all together"
I wasn't sure what to expect, lightning doesn't always get you twice sometimes it sticks to youOn Revelation all of the tracks have that "Texican feeling, that love me more thing everything aboutRevelation works, the boys got this one all together" from the cute little love song Blame It On Love to the soul stoppers like There"s Always Tomorrow and Everything About You. This release justifies the reasons Los Lonley Boys live to roll and rock. Its all so sweet and so full of good times, its too hard to resist it hits you like your own life .

Can't get enough of this group!
As s former professional radio DJ, back when we got to pick our own sets of music, I learned a lot about what makes the grade. Los Lonely Boys is one of the tightest and most versatile groups around. And I personally like their positive spin. Revelation is well mixed and clean sounding. I'm delighted with the cd. If I was still on air I'd be playing the chit out of these guys so more people would know about their extreme talent.

Old School Rock & Roll Delivered by Contemporary Rockers
Los Lonely Boys rock--that's the bottom line. If you like straight-ahead rock and roll (think about all that was good about the 60s and 70s), and if you like a Latino flavor to your rock and roll, give the brothers a listen. They are excellent musicians who play off each other most satisfyingly. Their vocals blend as you would expect from three brothers who have spent their lifetimes singing together. Los Lonely Boys are one of my favorite bands.

quality album but could have done with out the mainstream overly produced cut
that made it sound like you were going for a top 40 hit. Was first attracted to the because of their "Texican" blend of classic rock sounds. These guys have a great sound just hope they don't keep going mainstream

You got to buy it!
This was the last Los Lonely Boys album to come out; the bass player broke his back and sadly there does not seem to be any more music coming out way from this talented trio. Love the CD and wish there were more to come!
