Aquila Super Nylgut AQ-100 Soprano Ukulele Strings – High G – 1 Set of 4 – Premium Synthetic Gut, Smooth Play & Stable Tuning

**Addition after buying another set** (the next set arrived and were not damaged in any way. Yay! Will keep this new set as a backup and replace the crimped strings as needed) I was so excited to put these strings on my ukulele. Wanted to try the Aquila Super Nygluts... but beware! The shipping package was not damaged, but on the inside this set of strings was squished and as a result all of the strings were crimped or damaged. The amazon customer service rep I talked to was Abby and she was very accommodating. She refunded my purchase and was very friendly and helpful. I am a little scared to but another set... unfortunately these strings are not available at my local music store... but I don’t want to use Martin Fluorocarbon Strings with my entry level uke. I’ve heard that Aquilas are the best for entry level ukes... bummer. The last set of Aquilas I had on the instrument were there for 8 years and were reliably in tune, had great tone quality for my uke and were awesome. Have been playing almost every day for the last couple months and noticed some buzzing starting to develop, so I wanted to change my strings before the holidays... hopeful the next set won’t be damaged.

I've got a sweet Kanilea soprano that I've tried several different brands of strings on and never felt the love. These babies really brought out it's full tonal character and color, not to mention a sweet lift in volume. Fast break-in time and good balance across the board. I'll buy again, definitely.

These strings are perfectly fine, if you're looking for a sound like nylon on your ukulele. The strings are well made, feel good on your fingers, are pretty loud, and overall are very nice. I tried these to compare to the fluorocarbon I was using, and the fluorocarbon just sounds better to my ear. But as musicians may have very different likes, I would recommend these strings to someone wanting to replace a set of generic nylon, or for someone seeking to try a different sound. Aquila is a great family firm in Italy and a premium string provider. In fact, one of their string set are now used on higher end Martin ukuleles, and sold under the Martin brand.

These strings sound great. I put them on my Ibanez ukulele, and the difference was noticeable right away. The tone is clear and warm, and my ukulele stays in tune much better than it did with the previous strings. Easy upgrade that made a real improvement. Definitely worth it.

I wrote the following for a different set of strings ----- For the price, these are decent strings. Suitable for beginners on the uke. This set, soprano AECG has an A string that doesn't match the rest of the strings in its intonation or tonal quality. It is definitely the weak spot in a mediocre string set. After two days I couldn't take it and neither could my tone deaf wife. Off they came. Put on a set of Aquila Corde Armoniche Super Nylgut, also from Amazon, and couldn't be happier. Do yourself, and your ukulele, a favor and just go with the Aquilas. The price difference is minimal. Enjoy!!!!

I've tried most of the other strings out there, and all of the ones near this price, but none of them sound nearly as good as these Super Nylguts. I have some of the regular Nylguts that were bright and noisy and never broke in (could have been a fluke?). But I've had two sets of these super nylguts and have no complaints. They sound to bright for the first week, and they need frequent tuning. Then they relax and sound so sweet, clear and much louder than any other strings. My soprano is as loud as any tenor strung with nylon strings. They look good, kind of pearlescent. And they have great feel, tight and slippery, easy to play. And if the set on my Concert Pineapple are any indication, they last a very long time. My ukes are happy, and so am I.

Once I realized I was going to continue playing the ukulele, it became clear that I was going to have to change the cheap strings it came with my first instrument. I did a little research and found these to be highly recommended. They have made an enormous difference in the quality of sound my little uke produces. The color-coded strings were easy to install. I am definitely happy with this purchase.

These have to be the shortest replacement strings I’ve ever used. And I’ve used this brand before, and never had this problem. And yes, they were the correct size…..I got them on my uke, finally! Didn’t even have to trim them very much.

I found the sound muted and dull. When I realised they weren't going to improve I bought Aquila red strings. What a difference!

Las cuerdas son buenas. Tienen buen sonido y una vez afinadas y asentadas, a pesar de ser de nylon, no se desafinan mucho. En mi caso no era lo que buscaba, pues no le dan el sonido que quería a mi ukelele Brüko.

Great strings! They set super quickly and made my super cheap soprano (I bring it with me when I travel) sound much better than it did with the original strings! The tension is also a bit higher than with the previous strings, which is really nice.
