BLACK+DECKER 22" Electric Hedge Trimmer, Lightweight 4.0 Amp Corded Dual Action Shrub Trimmer, Full Wraparound Handle, High Output Low Vibration (BEHT350FF)

I have used an 18" electric for years not realizing how hard it was making a simple job. This BLACK+DECKER 22" Electric Hedge Trimmer has changed everything and makes this work so much easier. This Trimmer cuts like a dream does not weigh anymore than my old 18" and took trimming time from 2-3 hours down to 1-1/2 hours. The comfort and balance are good, the safety features are very good. Great product Do not hesitate to buy if an electric trimmer is what you are looking for.

I have only used it once to trim some hedges. It worked flawlessly and had ample power to get the job done quickly and accurately. I found the length of the bar very good, and the cutting ability to be excellent. Hope the longevity of it is many years, but only time will tell.

I just got this hedge trimmer and put it to a huge workout for a good couple hours nonstop, trimming the shrubs all over my yard including a small tree, thick hollies, and some hedges that are about 12 feet tall. I held this tough little workhorse up high over my head and could reach quite a way. I got the 22” version because I am a small grandma and I didn’t want it to be too heavy, but I also need help to lengthen my reach. I am happy with the 22” model. THEN, after I finished the whole lawn, I ventured out to the wooded area behind our yard and used this little workhorse as a brush mower! I bent down to whack off vines, small trees, poison ivy—-to cut back the overgrowth to keep it from creeping into the yard. This is sharp, easy to handle and control down low, up over my head, etc. Aside from it being sharp, lightweight, and easy to handle, my favorite part about this hedge trimmer is the cord-holder. On my old model, I am, constantly having to stop and plug it back in because the cord pulls out of the trimmer easily. Not so on this model with the cord-holder where you loop the cord around. For extra security, I first wrapped the cord through the handle a couple of times, and THEN looped it through the cord holder and it did not come out even once. This corded trimmer kept going at full power for far longer than a rechargeable battery version would have operated. I was glad to get all my spring trimming done in one afternoon. I did read some reviews complaining that you have to hold the safety button down the hole time—I did not find that to be difficult. I did get carried away once, and nicked the electrical cord a bit. I have to be careful in the future to keep the cord out of my way. Great little hedge trimmer! I am very happy with it. Lightweight, easy to use.

I chose this B&D model at 22” and 4.0 Amp over the B&D 3.8 w 20” and saw tip and think it was the right decision. I have a lopper which is faster and easier than a saw tip would be and it’s got more power. Was also less expensive.

Worked just as described. Seems to be of pretty good quality.

I was hesitant to get an electric trimmer because, I had one many years ago and it shredded everything instead of making clean cuts. That is not the case with this trimmer. As a lifetime “do everything manually” person, I am only sorry that I waited so many years to get another power trimmer. It really makes very short work of what used to take hours. The BLACK+DECKER Hedge Trimmer, 22-Inch (BEHT350FF) package arrived in 10 days and was well packed. Easy to put together. My long, power extension cord fits without problems. The electric cord retainer also works well. I’ve used this B & D trimmer now for a few days on various shrubs and ornamental grasses. It works great! The cuts are very clean and not raggedy. The instructions state that there is no need to oil or sharpen the blades, (unless these get damaged)—which is a real plus. If approached slowly, the trimmer can handle fairly large branches of more than a quarter inch in diameter. (The claim is that the trimmer will cut branches up to ¾ inch. I shall test that out on some large junipers shortly.) It is a bit noisy for me so I’ve been using earplugs until some noise reduction earmuffs arrive. The trimmer is light enough to allow use for long periods. The 22” blade is just the right length for me. As a female, of advanced age, I very much like the safety feature of having to engage both the lock switch and the power “trigger” switch at the same time. It is easy to do and not fatiguing for me. (It is possible that if one has serious arthritis or other issues in the hands, this feature could be a literal pain.) Use of the trimmer with one hand could be dangerous. Thus, the dual safety/power switch makes that awkward, but not impossible for someone with a strong arm. Overall, thus far, I am very satisfied with the B & D trimmer. I hope that the machine will last!

Dislike . The machine is operating 120 volts which is not suitable for uae power which is must be 220 volt . And the cable is not available in market . Please return .Thank you.

Todo excelente con esta maquina corta setos. Buena pitencia y muy liviana. Hay que usar equipoc de protección, guantes, cubrebocas, lentes. Suelta residios que produce cancer asi que abusados. Lo unico negativo es la conexión no trae cable y tendras que hacer una extensión especial para poder trabajsr agusto. Muy incomodo travajar con la conexión ya que sale e incluso llegue a cortarla con la misma navaja.

Supremely inconvenient to use because of Non-Australian plug inside a recess - doesn't work with adapters since the recess is too small for international adapters to fit in. Needs special handling and keeps dropping off during operation, which is a nightmare.

While I had to wait a season for this product to become available again, it was worth the wait! Simple assembly for guard and handle. Works like a charm. Very happy with this product. Delivery was right on schedule!
