So far, so good
My new cap installed easily. At first, I was slightly hesitant because it was not an exact match with the old failed cap (see pics). The tangs on the the old cap (left) were taller and the width was wider. I surmise that the smaller tangs will not be an issue because this part is rarely removed then reinstalled as long as the expansion tank shows the correct levels of coolant when the engine is hot and when it is cold. I've read that other people experienced the same failure as mine where the spring loaded components 'explode' which prevents the cooling system to properly pressurize. Going forward, I plan to check the condition of my new cap every 12,000 miles.

Nice radiator cap
I replaced my broken radiator cap with this one. It fits perfectly and no trouble at all to put it in. It has worked like a charm for quite some time now.

Fixed my overheating Suzuki Grand Vitara XSport 2009
I am not a mechanic. Mi car was over heating and the coolant was boiling and spilling from the reservoir tank. It was not obvious for me that the problem was the radiator cap because it was not leaking or anything. I replaced the thermostat and considered replacing the water pump. Lesson learned. If I see coolant boiling in the reservoir tank shortly after the engine is started I will suspect the radiator cap first.
