I have the 15 gram tube and am to give 1 gram a day to my guinea pig? how do i know what 1 gram is? is it one gram per push of the plunger?

Look on the plunger, it is marked 1 thru 15. There is a ring on the plunger you can turn down to the exact amount you want to give. This ring will stop the plunger at the amount you want to give. This is a 15 gram tube each number is 1 gram.

Has anybody else gotten expired product too? I ordered several of these and couldn’t even use half of the tubes because they were almost expired.

The product says this probiotic are specifically for mammals. I would check with your vet which kind of probiotic is specifically good for parakeets. Probiotics are really good for birds. I did read there is a bene-bac bird and reptile option. Good luck

Why is it bright yellow and liquidy? Usually it is a pale yellow paste. Did it get damaged in the hot amazon trucks?

I’m sorry I don’t know the answer. When I bought it it was as you said a pale yellow and a paste. I would return it to Amazon.
