Nickel Plating Anode Screw 1" X 6" (Pack of 1)

I bought this to do nickel plating using vinegar and salt as the electrolyte. It worked fine! I did notice flaking but it is not from nickel plating coming off. You can test it with a dremel. If sparks are peasant then it contains iron. This does not.

I bought these mostly because I was interested in seeing how easy it is to nickel plate stuff at home. Happy to report it's surprisingly simple and this anode worked just fine. I would strongly recommend if looking to do this on any kind of scale, to purchase pure nickel from a metal supply shop as you'll get a much better price per ounce.

Good product and reasonably priced

It is nickel. I can be used as an anode. No way to verify the purity, but my plated items came out fine.

Used for DIY nickel plating along with Krohn's Bright Nickel plating solution. Works great provided the parts are absolute clean.

These things are super thin and I question their quality. I've plated a key and a ring, and there are pits all the way through it now. I've been plating a while and know what I'm doing. You should get a lot more uses out of one than that !

Did the job. Used to nickel plate a pair of old cuff links.

Good to do some nickel plating in the vinegar. Worked great. Dosent last long, I recommend buying thicker for bigger piece than a single bolt.

I nickel plated my engine bolts. It worked fine. However it was a bit pricy for what you get.
