F1 Hairless Non-Purple Stem, Pack of 50 Seeds

VERY helpful for showing monohybrid genetics
We have too many students to afford outright buying packages of the F2 seeds. We tried the first two years ( and I attempted a few times on my own) to plant the parental stock, do a hybrid cross and plant the resulting F1 seeds for a crop of F2s. Invariably despite careful bagging and seporation I would fail at getting 100% hybrids which would then mess up the 1:3 ratio a month and a half later. In terms of my time and peace of mind it is SO worth it to BUY these F1 hybrids. I plant these F1s in the summer, blissfully cross pollinate with *no bagging required* and lots of F2 seeds are available for the students in the fall. I think Wisconsin Fast Plants must only save seeds pods off the recessive green parent or something because if there are any non-hybrids in the package they show up as 1 or 2 green ( double recessive) plants which are easy to weed out in the first week. They don't seem to have hidden ANL/ANL mishaps because the student 1:3 ratios have held in the several years we have done this lab.

The store-bought radish seeds we grew turned out much better.
I was using these for a science project with my 7th grade students. They are too much work and too expensive for the simple bottle biology project we were doing. The store-bought radish seeds we grew turned out much better.

Five Stars
They are great, and I continue to use the seeds my students produce.
