Limeink Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon CLI-42 for Canon PIXMA PRO-100 100 100S CLI 42 Pro100 High Yield 18 Pack (4 BK, 2 Each of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Photo C, PM, Gray, Light Gray)

Was reluctant to use non-hem ink in Pixma Pro 100 and decided to try. Glad I did. Inserted yellow and black to replace CLI-42 and was very pleased with output. Replaced magenta, cyan (still using CLI-42 ink for other 4 cartridges) with no problems in printing - one warning: when you remove the soft plastic cap, watch out for a few ink drops.

I may not be a pro-level photographer, but image quality is still very important to me. Using this ink I find it easy to get really great looking prints at a fraction of the cost of Canon ink. I can make copies for others and even do large format pictures without having to worry about taking a part-time job to pay for the ink. Definitely recommend.

In the cartridge comparison, the one on the right is the Canon original 42's. Didn't do any real weight measurements, just a quick visual, and they appear fairly close to each other. All of the Limeink cartridges had a similar bubble in the reservoir.The Limeink versions print at a lower saturation than the Canon's, though not by a huge difference.Sharpness quality between the two seemed identical.The biggest issue I can see is the differences in the blacks/grays. I'm not sure what order this review will post the image, but one of the black circles you see will have a slight yellowing to it compared to the other. This is the Limeink version.When printing photos, they seem to have this slight warmer tone to it than the Canon inks, though for personal use it's a negligible difference. If you know this ahead of time, you can adjust for it in Photoshop by calibrating your colors and firing off some test proofs before making a final print.There were no streaking / lines that I could see, and the ink has dried well with photo prints. Unsure of long-term quality as of this post.Debatable on if this is good for professional/commercial printing, but I'm quite pleased with it for my own personal print use, especially at $100 cheaper per pack.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased these ink cartridges. I have had no problems at all with printing, and the quality is perfect. Love these cartidges.

The Ink I purchased was to replace the ink in the Canon Pro-100 series printer. This is a semi professional printer that does really well in the color management. I purchased LimeInk product just to see how well it compares to the manufacturer ink.The manufacturer ink (CL-42) is about $124.00 and you get 8 color cartridges.Limeink is $38.00 and you get 18 ink cartridges. What a savings right?As soon as I received the product, I replaced 3 cartridges that I needed replacing. Black, Photo Magenta, and the Light Gray.After printing a few photos I can easily see the difference. The black is not as rich and the Magenta is simply off. Actually it's more like - totally off. Instead of a pink jacket and pink shoes on my daughters I am getting a blurry purple.This ink does not do well on very premium paper either. I printed on the RedRiver Gloss Metallic paper and everything was bad. Skin tones were off, and the fall leaves looked pinkLesson, if you get a premium printer, use premium ink. If you want to print cheap, use a cheaper printer.

I bought this in the hopes it will work in my Canon PRO-100, they do. I also bought the double pack because it comes with 2 extra black cartridges and I never know when I am going to run low on ink. The price is hard to beat.

Do NOT buy these cartridges! They leak as soon as you take off the orange protective cover on the bottom - but most importantly I get the message with each cartridge that it is not recognized by my Canon Pro 100 Pixma printer. I just hope they have not ruined my printer all together!

The color fades really fast.
