Lil Fishy Brooks

OK these were on a really good sale, so I figured why not and I bought 5 different ones, ended up giving my son 2 for his birthday, 2 as stocking stuffers, and on to my nephew as a stocking stuffer. Best purchase ever. Both boys love them. These are very fast, stronger motor than i expected, you can adjust the tail to make them swim different. They are neat. Downsides, because the stronger motor, they go through batteries kind of fast. Figure one set will run 4 or 5 long baths. They can slow or stop if hair gets wrapped around the impeller. Turning them off is one step away from opening it to change batteries. This is not a problem for me as I turn them on for my son, and he doesn't want to turn them off so no issue. I have had no leaking, no corrosion, and they are running strong. I will say if you buy one, buy two. Keep a set of batteries, a screw driver, and a tool to pull out any hair in the bathroom, that way when one stops, you child can play with the other while you fix the stopped one without leaving your child unattended. These are also super fun with a bunch in the pool. In short, these have made my bath avoiding toddler love baths, therefor they are the best thing ever, and if the go on sale as an add on again, I am buying at least 10 and giving a couple to every toddler I know.

I get these for my dog to chase in the pool. I was worried it would be too small for his mouth but I watched him with it and he is fine, he is a 65 pound Aussie. I do recommend removing the top part of the head, makes it look more like a hammerhead, then the small piece would come off in their mouth (dog or child). I moves around in the water faster and does more flipping than the toys like it. The only thing I don't like about it is there is a cage surrounding the propeller I assume to protect something or other, but fur gets caught in the propeller and it is really hard to remove, unlike the other toys that you can pop it off and back on. I have to use tweezers while the dog whines to gets his toy back.If you want these things to last longer, a tip I read on another review for a bath toy and have been doing ever since, use vegetable base food grade lubricant around the seal and it keeps water out- I bought it on amazon http://www.amazon.com/McGlaughlin-Oil-PETROL-GEL-Lubricant-Tube/dp/B0015ZQ5MQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427645912&sr=8-1&keywords=food+grade+lubricant. I also wrap tape around the toy to stop my dog from prying it apart. It makes it last a lot longer.

Bought a different fish for my son at Michaels and he loved it so much I'm getting him another :) This one is cheaper than what I paid for the hammerhead shark but Michaels has the other fish for $5.99 so they are cheaper than the other ones shown on Amazon.*Update* Let my FIL take to his house for my son to play with - make sure that all the washcloths, etc are out of the tub. Our fish swam into my sons washcloth and string were wrapped around the propeller so he doesn't swim very well anymore. My son still plays with it so I'm not throwing it out plus it's not the manufacturers' problem just an FYI

These are really fun Toys, and I was quite surprised at how speedy they zip around the tub. There is somewhat of a design flaw in my mind as there is what seems like a millimeter difference between turning the fish "off" and opening the battery compartment. My 5 yo opened the fish on accident when trying to turn it off and the battery compartment got wet and now the fish does not work at all. I ordered 2 thankfully but I expect this same thing to happen next time he uses this. Fun toy, but you have to be so careful with it to be sure the inside does not get wet. This is hard to do with little ones playing with it.

These cute little fish are so much fun. They swim very quickly all over and had my son laughing so hard. Our batteries have lasted very long. The only draw back is kids really shouldnt turn it off and on. If turned off in water it could damage the waterproof feature. If you are careful on that though its a wonderful fun toy for any age kid.

My 3 year old loved this. It's a good size, and held up to her throwing it around in her pool, and water table. It does twist open easily, so I hope she doesn't figure that out. I had no issue with water getting inside it, but was surprised it didn't close up more secure.

Loads of fun! We have several of the Lil Fishys and enjoy trying to catch the in the pools. My 3 year old and the grown-ups enjoy these toys!

Expect your kids to open it in the water you can throw it away.
