Slendertone Abs Gel Pads (1 Set) (0706-9607)

This is most definitely a polarized device. Some people love it. Some people hate it. I, personally, love it. I am a college student, I naturally lose body fat very quickly (my muscles show even without working out, I guess that's what happens when you use your brain too much as an Astrophysics major haha) so this device became a no-brainer to me as I never needed to shed the weight, but rather build the definition. If you're overweight, obese, or you just have a lot of pudge going on in your midsection, I'd advise you to pick up a cardio program, do some calisthenics, heck even do some ballroom dancing. Something to get rid of the fat. Because that is what makes this product work. If you need more definition (or tone; basically just a better "showing" 6-pack or flat belly), this will work but you need to be patient. Eat very healthy, do some exercise (or at least try to walk/climb stairs everyday), and refrain from eating salty foods and lay off the beers and you will see a noticeable change to your belly. A lot of people gave negative reviews on this and honestly, when it comes to these type of machines, it really is up to how your body reacts to it. I gave you a guideline of myself because there is not a heck of a lot of skinny college guys that review this thing. Overall, I enjoy it a lot. It works FOR ME, but it absolutely may not work for you and I wish there was a way I can review the product with less of a bias of myself but unfortunately, that is how these things work. It's all up to you, your habits, and how your body handles the vibrations. They hurt A LOT at first, but eventually you'll get used to them. My recommendation is to start at 20 on both sides and increase by 2-5 every 5-7 minutes for about 30 minutes a day. Or you can be superman and take it straight 50+ but you WILL be in for a rude awakening if you never used this product before. The top review has a very handy method of preserving the pads but eventually you will have to buy at least another pair, no biggie. It's 8 or so dollars as opposed to going to the gym (I don't have space in my house to exercise). Buy the electrode gel for a better contraction but it's not absolutely necessary. Don't overdo yourself. Muscles build when they are torn, not when they are being used. Drink lots of water and, I am very sorry for the tmi, be sure to have your bathroom ready for you on your first few days. But this device has definitely helped out my abs to show more and in turn, they help my back become more stable and less in pain when I am confined in chairs all day. It was the perfect replacement size

Had an old belt that was not being used because it appeared not to be doing the job. Figured I would buy a new belt and spare gel pads. While I got the new belt, I also got the spare gel pads. Same pads were able to be used on the old belt as well as the new. Used these pads on the older belt and it was back like new. Now I have 2 belts, one for home and one for on the go (the office, the gym) or if the other belt fails. Worth the investment and a great product.

I read some negative reviews saying that the pads didn't last long enough. I haven't had that problem, in fact, they lasted longer than I expected. I think that I used the first set of pads several times a day for several weeks before they started shorting out. I'm still on my second set and going strong, but I haven't been using them everyday this time. You have to remember to put the plastic backing back on them when you aren't using them. It says that in the instructions. Its also true that this belt will not make you thinner or effect your weight loss. You have to be working on that separately, and then the belt is a good addition to your whole routine. I think that it helps your abdominal muscle condition if you use them enough at high enough voltage. I really crank mine up (to 999, as high as they will go) and use them on program 3 or 4 so I get the most tensioning. Given that I have a sample number of 1, I cannot say for sure that they actually do anything, but its my strong impression that my abdomen is more toned and it is easier to do more crunches if I use the belt than it would be if I didn't use it. Personally, I think its worth the money, but don't expect any miracles. Miracles don't happen, you just have to have a well rounded conditioning program and if you add the belt to it, it helps. just my $0.02 srlasky

Works better than any other replacement pads on the market. Hence why slendertone makes their own replacements for slendertone products. Knock off versions look similar. But are less adhesive and the longevity is pathetic compared to the slendertone pads.

I received the item very quickly and am very satisfied with it

I am on my second set of conductive pads for my belt. I just recently figured out the square pas is why the center unit is not working. I put one of the side pads on the center square and now have it working. Of course now the side one that has the defective pad on it will not work. How can I get a replacement. Yes! It’s been since the end of August when I ordered.
