Fun With Southwest Indian Stencils (Dover Little Activity Books: Native American)

Used to draw picture on pottery then paint the design.

We used these sturdy, well-cut stencils and washable window art markers to draw on our large windows. We have also decorated a child's apron & chef's hat with Dover's Emergency Vehicles (firetrucks) and fabric paint and brushes. The 10 Dover stencil books we purchased have all been excellent quality, and used on paper as well as fabric and glass. All of the stencils are on individual pages and measure about 4 to 4 1/2 inches. Great gift for our grandchildren.

Lightweight stencils, made from a laminated cardstock. A nice variety of designs to choose from. Will stand up to tracing with pen/pencil/marker for a long time, will stand up to wet media/painting many times with careful handling. Not detailed, allowing you to easily stencil the shape - then add your own details. Works well for fabric painting, which is why I bought several of these little stencil books. (Native American Masks, Southwest Indian, Egyptian Symbols, & African Design.)Good to use with kids - the lack of fine details keeps younger kids from getting frustrated. Will last much longer if kept dry - but you can definitely get multiple uses with paint, etc. (By multiple, depending on how wet you get the stencils, I would guess at least 20 uses.) A good buy - but don't expect the "normal" plastic stencils, realize these are laminated cardstock. Knowing that should relieve any disappointment. :)

Each stencil says what tribe the image is associated with. Very helpful for a school project, good value for our use.

Nice little Southwest stencils. I put some on garden stones. Southwest is a popular pattern for all kinds of things.

I keep a few of these at my house for nieces and nephews to take back with them and have something to do at the airport or on the airplane home and they love them!

Perfect for our tile project and arrived SO quickly. The stencils are heavy duty and although not advertised for wet projects they held up VERY well with wet ceramic paint. Thank you.
