I purchased these die cut dies primarily for the very pretty heart designs - both are quite unique. I was very happy with the simpler die cuts, but the more complex hearts proved troublesome because they have 'dull' areas that will not make a complete cut through the paper. I was working with standard craft paper, nothing special, and a manual die cutting machine, per the instructions. Some parts of the design cut cleanly and others almost cut through but the tighter and more complex areas refused to cut, simply embossing the paper instead. This was most evident in the lace-look heart.For the price of the set, I wasn't expecting super high quality - so really, I'm not complaining . . . but be aware of what you're getting so you're ready to perform surgery on your fancy heart cut-out!

There are so many possibilities in using the many dies included. I am using them for cardmaking.

When putting background paper on handmade cards, I cut out the centers before placing the next layer of paper. Then, I can use the cut out centers on the inside of the card (or on other cards). Great way to make patterned paper last longer and I love the embossed edges!

I really like this set of shapes! The only drawback is that the edges are embossed like stitches, but other than that, they're just what I wanted.

These dies come stuck together and are easy to twist apart, but you will want to get a metal file to smooth out the metal barbs that are left on them. Otherwise, they are great and work well.
