How many makeup brushes can it hold up too

The description claims it can hold up to 40 brushes. That might be possible if they’re all skinny brushes. Most people have brushes of all sizes and widths. If the brush heads are all full, it will not close correctly. There are 14 pockets, so definitely 14 brushes fit. After that it’ll depend on the thickness of the brush handle and the fullness of the brush. I have about 50 brushes and mine did not fit. Short Kabuki truly don’t fit. The pockets are too deep and the bristles get smooshed. Hope this helps.

My set has 12 big brushes & 17 small ones 29 total will they fit?

There are 14 slots. I believe each slot can hold either two medium-sized brushes or maybe a medium and a large brush. This would provide you room for 28 brushes. But I think it may be tight. Which is why I'm going to order one more. I have very expensive professional brushes and I do not want them squeezed together. It may work for you, but suggest getting two. Good luck💄
