Q: Is 1.8 inches correct? That would be approx 1 and 13/16". I am actually looking for 1 and 3/8.

This is the narrow one that fits the older thresholds, it's 1 1/4 to the outside of the tabs. If you've been to the box stores and purchased the wide one that doesn't fit...this is the one you want.

Q: how to install the rubber strip having great trouble getting both sides inserted into aluminum strip. both are new and packaged together.

Squeeze on both sides--tuck into track--move down length.

Q: My current vinyl strip is 1-1/4 inches wide, and I don't know if this rubber strip will fit. Any thoughts? is this product 1.5 inches?
