Fresh Step Extreme Scented Litter with the Power of Febreze, Clumping Cat Litter, 42 Pounds

So far this litter is far better than my usual Tidy Cats Glade Clear Springs Multi Cat litter:~ it comes in four 10.5lb bags - so I can break apart the packaging to haul the bags in and upstairs individually! This is absolutely fantastic and makes 42lbs of litter much so much more manageable~ it clumps much better - it scoops up in mostly solid clumps and doesn’t break apart into so many little bitty clumps that fall through the scoop; one of my cats empties her bladder once a day and the resulting brick comes out in one solid piece~ it doesn’t stick nearly as badly to the bottom of the box, or to the scoop, in massive unremovable blobs~ it hardly smells at allIt’s very dusty, and tracks all over the house.Found this litter as the 20lb jugs of the above mentioned Tidy Cats tripled in price all of a sudden. I really really hope Fresh Step continues to be sold in the package with the 4 smaller bags, this makes it SO much easier to handle!

It clumps decently. I noticed the clumping is different than arm and hammer litter. Either my cat is taking an epic leak or the litter reacts differently to liquids. Some of the clumps I have been scoping out are 3/4 the size of a brick! The dust from this is pretty bad. I have the litter box in my room and I have to take it outside to scoop out the junk or else dust will fly up all over my stuff. Definitley make sure you dont have a fan on around you while cleaning the box. When my cat uses the litter box and comes by me I can see/feel/smell the dust from the litter box on her. Kind makes me not want to pet her or hold her.The best thing about the litter is that it does last long and takes care of the odors. I just wish this was a low dust litter. On the litter bag I believe it is advertised as "low dust" formula, I can only imagine how the "normal dust" formula is. If they fixed this, this would be one of the best cat litters out there.

This stuff amazes us everyday. It is the only one we have found that leaves no smell. We left for it for five days, no sifting, nothing, waiting for the stink... none. Nada. Nothing. I don’t know how. It doesn’t make sense. We had to clean it out because it was overloaded with TWO kittens waste. I feel bad for the people who haven’t found this stuff yet, because if we couldn’t get the litter smell under control, we were not keeping the cats. Couldn’t handle or stomach the nasty part of having indoor cats. Plus the sweet little kittens would stink like their litter box and had to get baths often. But NOT with this stuff! They smell fine all the time, even after not sifting it like normally should. Thankful.

Warning to anyone who uses Litter Genie: when it says extreme clump, it means EXTREME clump. If you use a Litter Genie with this, then be prepared to dump your genie more frequently.I used to be able to go a few days without having to clean the box, but now with just one day of use, cleaning it out feels like you are dumping the entire litter box because of how much it clumps.All that being said, I mainly wanted this for the ability to get rid of odor, and for that it does a wonderful job.

Love the product but the picture is misleading because it looks like it’s one big bag but rather it’s 4 small 13lb bags. I specifically did not want that type of packaging and based on the picture is why I ordered it. A lot of wasted plastic and a pain to open!

For me this got delivered in only two days from the time I ordered it, which is much shorter than what was estimated. I bought unscented fresh step, but I prefer the scented one because it is significantly better at odor elimination. Odor elimination Is really important since I live in a small apartment. Dust is not an issue for me since I have an enclosed cat box (the litter robot which is amazing). I have two cats and they don't mind the litter at all. The package has a strong handle and a zip close seal. I'm not strong at all but I still was able to lift it. Heavy but manageable due to the package design.

I love this litter but won't be buying it again as my cat chews and claws through the plastic bag it comes in and I woke up to find a small mountain of litter he was rolling around and playing in. Back to Arm & Hammer in the box for me. The only "problem" I have, your mileage may vary, is my cat loves to pee in the corners and this turns to "cement" resulting in using a putty knife to get it off the sides of the litter box. I'm not keen on used litter flying up and hitting me in the face.

I keep my litter in a bedroom that I share, so managing the litter smell is a priority to me. My formula is the litter genie, the Catit hooded litter pan, and Fresh Step Extreme with febreze. And, as long as I scoop often enough, I don't smell a thing!I got this as a recommendation by two of my friends who swear by it. There's a little bit of understandable dust when I pour, but it settles immediately and isn't noteworthy in my opinion. The litter clumps poop and pee, so it's so easy to scoop. With scooping, this big bag goes a long way.
