Lake Country Foamed Wool Buffing/Polishing Pad, 6.5-inch

I purchased this pad to use on a used vehicle I just purchased. It had many swirl marks and several scratches. I was using Menzerna FG400 with a Lake Country orange pad. This was just not doing the job on the more severe scratches. I used this pad on speed 3 and it removed almost everything within a few minutes. The vehicle has black paint and the finish was not perfect. Follow this up with a white pad with Menzerna SF4000 and the paint looks like a black mirror. This pad is the best I have ever used for damage that is beyond swirl mark. Very Happy!

I used it to get some 3000 grit sanding marks out of my paint. I used it with Meguiars Ultimate Compound.It worked really well. It did what my foam pads couldn't do!Of course, it will shed all over the place, but it isn't too bad. I haven't come across a wool pad that doesn't shed.

I bought the wrong size by accident and need to cut the pad down to a 5.5 inch pad. Don't do this! Edges framed and in turn scratched the paint when used. If I would have purchased the pad in the correct size, it would have worked great!

Everyone talks about foam pads but after using this one for cutting, I am sold for life. Zero hologram and zero wool shedding. With the right polish it will allow for a beautiful cut and polish in one step

Outstanding used with a rotary. Excellent finishing properties. Works best on fresh or soft paints. Rupes blue wool pads are better for DA work on hard paints.

Pretty good pad however, if you're considering wool of any type (except maybe steel wool) then you're aiming to cut into the top coat at some level. This pad is very mild in it ability to cut, I realize it's not advertised as a fast cut or anything but when I say mild it's very mild. It would be very good form someone testing the waters, that could potentially screw up horribly with a fast cutting wool pad.

I’ve only used this on a few spot panels, but it has performed well. Pad cleaned up easily and there wasn’t too much residue gunk up, while buffing

Buffed a black boat. Worked well. Left a waxable finish.
