Pretty good, not perfect
Works pretty well. It does everything I'd hoped it would do. It tamed the rat's nest of cables I was dealing with. Everything works. That's usually the trick. You get some new gadget and you only get partial functionality for whatever reason. This is one of those devices that worked correctly without long drawn out troubleshooting sessions or mysterious failures of one sort or another. That said, it's not perfect. When you try to run everything through one USB 3 cable there will be some compromises required. My wireless mouse and Keyboard work ok, but there is an occasional lag and the mouse seems a bit less precise. Not a big deal really. Considering all the reviews of this and similar products with complaints about lag, I suppose it could have been worse. I suppose if it's a problem, just swap the transmitter into the actual computer and that should fix the issue. I should note that I have a brand new Toshiba C55-C5240 (the one Amazon had on sale for $449. ) the specs are fairly good. Someone with an older computer or even a newer one without USB 3 might have more issues. The only other issue I had was the rather short cable they provided in the box. Fortunately I had another, longer USB 3 cable that I was able to swap into the setup. It would have been a trip to Best Buy or Walmart for a retail priced cable, which would have sucked. The instructions are pretty thin and have little in the way of actual detail. Fortunately setup went pretty smoothly. Install the drivers, shut it down, hook everything up, reboot. It worked with no drama or excessive swearing. Fortunately, I have no tales of woe or cautionary warnings to report. Bonus, it's noticeably cheaper than a number of it's competitors, including the Toshiba branded ones.

Better than expected
I use this to connect both my desktop and laptop to the monitor on my desk. I have my monitor, keyboard and mouse always connected allowing me to change work on either computer just by pushing a button. Dual screen mode is awesome. I use the laptop screen and the monitor at the same time and can either extend the screen, duplicate it, or use only the monitor if I wanted. It allows me to use my laptop on my big monitor and have a desktop feel. It does has the occasional glitch and some lagging with the mouse every now and then, but only when I'm working on my desktop. It is an older desktop, so I figure it may be more of the culprit. Mouting bracket is not very useful in my sitution.

Superb! Handy, compact, powerful!
This is an awesome product!!! I own a Surface Pro 4 and I wanted a USB 3.0 hub and a DVI output for the tablet, but I did not want to spend money on buying two different devices or adapters in order to meet my needs. The first solution that came up in my research was the Microsoft Surface Dock, which offers 4 USB 3.0 ports and 2 video output ports, among other stuff. To my surprise, three weeks later, by a revelation from heaven, I found this device. Comparing this device with Microsoft's, this one has 2 USB 3.0 ports, while MS's has 4, but this one has 4 USB 2.0 ports as well; for 6 ports total. To that, you add the fact that one of the USB 3.0 ports is a Fast Charger, which I use to quickly juice up my mobile devices. The MS dock offers two mini display port outputs, which is great because that is one of the newest standards out there and you can connect virtually whatever you want there, BUT you need ADAPTERS (which must be purchased separately.) With this little guy, the HDMI port is already there, and the DVI that I love so much too... And for people with old monitors, there is a VGA adapter (included) that you plug on the DVI port. My Surface Pro 4 looks awesome on big monitors and/or TVs using this docking station. I can't be more happier with it. I have not tested the ethernet, mic or speaker features of it because I really do not need it and I think that I will never do, so I cannot comment on those. So, for less than half the price of the MS dock, this little guy offers a lot more than its competitor. I must say that it is bigger from what I anticipated, but anyway it is small enough to be portable. I showed it to the desktop support guy at work and he immediately ordered one to test it and maybe purchase a couple for the company, as a great solution for adding a third and fourth monitor to the computers there. Bottom line, this product simply rocks, and I am very happy that I found it while doing my research. Highly recommended.

Inconsistent
This product originally worked great out of the box. I was able to connect two additional displays to my laptop, as well as my speakers and a direct ethernet cord. However, it wasn't long after before the device would die. Monitors, ethernet, USB and speakers, all stopped working. The only fix was to power cycle the unit and then everything would work again (after it took 15 seconds to reset). Originally this was an occasional, minor inconvenience, but now it is quite frequent. I worked on my computer for two hours straight this morning, no problem, but now out of the blue it happened again and every reset I do, it freezes up again 1-2 minutes later. When it works, it's great... But right now it is too inconsistent to use and only makes me frustrated when I'm trying to do work. I would recommend shopping around to find something better than this garbage. Unfortunately I didn't encounter these problems until after my first month of owning it, so if your experience is similar, you won't be able to return it. Also, no response from the company when I contacted them.Buy at your own risk.

Easy to use
This works great, arrived and set up in a matter of minutes. Two minor issues: 1. I have to keep my laptop open for the screens to work-not the end of the world, 2. My wireless mouse does not work well when the receiver is plugged into the docking station. It works fine when plugged into the laptop tho. One day shipping with Amazon Prime.I previously had an HP docking station that was specific to my HP laptop. Of course when I upgraded, the docking station/laptop were no longer compatible. I love this because anyone visiting can connect their laptop and use the home office set-up.
