Geekpure 20 Inch Clear Whole House Water Filter Housing with Wrench Bracket -4.5" x 20" - 1" NPT Brass Port -Pack of 4

Just finished building my home system. Let's you see what's going on inside the system. Also showed me I had a loose piece of plumbers tape I needed to remove. Two of the pressure valves leaked initially, but unscrewed them flipped the rubber washer over and they stopped. Other fallback would be to just tap the hole and plug it with a brass 1/4 npt plug. Great price and like the system.

I installed these 4.5"x 20" filters as a whole-house filter system. I added a sizable UV filter also. The label list a Max operating PSI of 90. Then it says, if it exceeds 80 PSI, then a pressure regulator must be installed. The Label is surely confusing to most. I installed 3 pressure gauges at 3 key points on my system. My starting pressure is 65 PSI then after the 4 filters it drops to 60 PSI. This is normal because of the lost pressure within the filters. After my 4 filters and the UV light, my final existing PSI is right above 60 PSI. The filter housing is a 1" brass Female housing. I read all the reviews that talked about the leaking. I did not use pipe tread. I used pipe dope and brushed it on then installed it tight. I let the pipe dope cure for 2 days, then I turned the water on. No leaks after two weeks of running. Looking at the threads I took the approach of sealing the threads by using gooie pipe dope. Overall, the filters are solid. I will modify my system so I can add Unions between each filter, and I will add a drain line after the UV light. Planning + Layout is important for a smooth installation. The red pressure release buttons on the top of the filter housing can be a challenge to sit watertight. I had to call customer service to replace two of them. Customer Service was Excellent! They will make it right and they're on point with communication + follow-through.

the pros and cons cons bracket to mount housing not rigid enough for weight but works connecting multi housing hardware not included Update... I have a 28 foot deep ground water well, the cold water in winter burst the plasic housing in the house, water everywhere it totally shattered during year two. Wish I'd had picked stainless steel. ok the pros using a combination of pipe dope heavy duty teflon tape followed by another layer of pipe dope made a good seal with cpvc nipples 1" mnpt also have used brass in the past as well same seal required tighten fully torqe as far as possible more threads in the better do not use tape alone or pipe dope alone dont be cheap on these pro pipe dope and grey ptfe tape on the seal inside the housing grab a tube of the clear food grade oring lube the housing is strong and seals well works as advertised im very happy with the results if there is a better way to link these please post it

I bought these on a recommendation. Quality looked good so I was not worried. Overall the install was ok. I have to do it twice for the following issues. DO NOT use Teflon tape as the only sealing method on the inlet/outlet threads. The threads seem to be off or cut not the best so you WILL have leaks. What worked for me is I used a brass 1" npt 2" nipple to connect the housings together. I have not had any leaks since then. The second issue I have had is one they are installed I keep getting leaks from the O-Ring around the cannister housing. I have checked and re-checked to make sure they where clean and seated correctly. I was about to return then when I did one last thing to try to fix it. I took the housings back off and coated the O-Rings with food grade silicon lubricant. Give a coat to them and insert them into the groove and them do one more coat on top of the ring to seat into the top housing. Hi Geekpure has a awesome products I have purchased their whole house UV light water filteration system and their 4.5" x 20" filter housings three times so far and they've always been great and the customer service is awesome and very nice thanks

I do not know if "Geek Pure" is a manufacturer ro a distributor or re -seller or what . But these filters I expected to be up to industry Standard of "big Blue" originally manufactured by Pentec Brand..... I purchased four of these (price seems reasonable) and bui8lt a Four Filter System for one of my wells.. ONE of the four Filters leaks like a sieve.... Leaks at the TOP where the gasket is . I have not contacted the seller about replacing the unit yet... Problem is the COST of removing that filter from the SYSTEM and replacing it with another will be about THREE TIMES the cost of the filter ...... A 25% fail rate (1 in 4) is NOT acceptable.. the Gasket seems fine . I even removed it examined it and replaced it with a little teflon putty to hopefully get a seal.. No difference .Still leaks though maybe a little less.. I will see if I can buy Gaskets for this thing before I remove it from my system and throw it out .

I didn't believe the reviews - but 100% true. All three are crooked installed but ol who cares if they worked. Leaks like crazy. My plumber is a pro with 30 years experience - it's not an install issue. Costw over $600 already in return plmber trips. Don't buy this.

I can offer one priceless tip; use teflon tape, and don't be stingy with it. I built a 5 stage with ancillary RO and softening for every drop coming into the house. I used teflon pipe thread sealant in a tube. Don't. I had to rebuild it, I had so many leaks. With tape, it's all good. The fittings are huge, and can probably take more torque, but I'm always careful.
