Kratax Pop Up Beach Tent UV Sun Protection Waterproof Sun Shelters for Family Camping, Fishing, Picnic, Beach

We bought this to take abroad with us, most are quite large when folded and would not fit into a standard suitcase this was a great size when folded, it would not fit in a cabin sized bag / suitcase but fit lovely in a medium case. It’s a pop up tent so easy to put up and the sand bag pockets were easy to fill on the beach (emptying them was a little bit of a pain because it’s not really tip-able, but scooping it out wasn’t too bad) we used the anchors as well. We felt our little boy (5months old) was well protected from the sun and we was able to keep him cool. There was plenty of space for him, one of us laying down and out things, which was fine as we took it in turns sunbathing. We could have all fit in and did several times we were just more comfortable taking it in turns. The open front made it easy to get in and we made sure to face the front away from the sun, just be aware with the mesh back it lets in the sun too so with baring in mind when setting up. The mesh back made it extremely breathable and we got a nice breeze through the tent when there was a breeze about. Putting pop up tents down can always be a struggle but we didn’t find this that difficult at all. I managed it alone with baby and it was lightweight enough to carry around the resort with us. I would highly recommend this for holidays largely due to the size when folded. I can’t compare this to any others as this is the only one we’ve had but we liked it. Photo is just to show size, this was in a large case and could fit in a smaller case if needed.

I don't normally write reviews but this product was so good I thought it deserved five minutes of my precious time. My wife and I purchased the tent to provide safe shelter for our Grandchildren whilst staying at our caravan and visiting the beach. The tent comes in a nice small bag that's easy to carry and store. Putting the tent up is a synch, just open the bag and ping it's up! However the trick to getting the most out of this product is to watch the online training video first that explains how to fold it away easily and then practice in the garden before you use it to save any embarrassment when out. Trust me the technique isn't hard once mastered, it's all in the reverse wrist action and once mastered makes folding up and going a 1 minute process. It comes with six tent pegs to secure in sand or earth and is spacious inside. My wife and I now take this to the beach all the time to store our towels bags etc. and occasionally provide a secret place for me and the kids to doze out the sun. We use it in combination with our fold up chairs to make a beach day very comfortable.

This is a great beach tent, it’s so easy to put up and provides adequate protection from the sun. It’s a little tricky to fold away but once you’ve used it a few times you should get the hang of folding it up.

Absolutely perfect for this amazing weather. Now not only can I relax outside in the sunshine but I can bring my 9 month out too and feel happy that she is protected. Afterall Vitamin D does us all the world of good. I love the air vent on the back as it blows lovely cool air through, even when it's this redders. It is easy to put up and take down. It actually folds away really small and compact. It is lightweight. I was actually surprised how generous it was because the bag itself looked small, until we popped it out 👌 You really can't grumble for the price. We love it. Our baby loves it. Even the dog and cat have a cheeky chill inside it too 😁 It does the job perfectly ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Definitely look at the video of how to fold the tent back up. It's not difficult, but it isn't intuitive. I can see how people find it a problem if they just try and wing it! Having watched the videos though it was easy, and I'm someone who struggles with spatial awareness stuff. But for the price, it's amazing. It will fit in a reasonably sized suitcase, weighs just under 1kg so is easily manageable for a plane trip, is easily carried from car to beach even if it's a fair distance, and when it pops up it's a reasonable size for a couple of adults (or several smaller people) who want some shelter from sun or wind on a beach where there aren't facilities. Will definitely make beach trips more civilised. We'll see how long it lasts - unsurprisingly for the price it doesn't seem to be made out of the most robust materials - but if we treat it carefully it looks like it should last for a few trips - and we'll aim for lots. :-)

Folk hesitating to buy because of size or folding back should see my video. I'm 5'10" or 1.75m to give you an idea of scale. You will see how easy & fast it is to collapse & repack. My 1st attempt failed but on rechecking an online review, I succeeded on my 2nd attempt & filmed my 3rd attempt. It's going on the beach tomorrow afternoon at Clacton, Essex Uk to stop two grandchildren getting wind-chilled to the bone like they did last time we were there! So far, there's no reason not to give it full marks. If i've not added to this review, you'll know it went well p.s. As I'm sitting it on loose sand, I'm going to attach the four corners to bags full of beach sand using string or something simple. POST SCRIPT Staycation over: Unpacking, erecting, taking down and packing INDOORS was a doddle but the BEACH was another matter so let’s go through the sales blurb. Safe UV protected Material: No reason to doubt - Pop-up Design: Pops up a treat – Open-door design and rear mesh window: Good for cool, ventilated shade - External sand pockets and 6 metal nails: Definitely, NOT up to the task. I had to use four sand bags that usually hold down my 3m x 3m gazebo - Dimensions: As stated – Waterproof: The product does NOT claim to be waterproof so I cannot knock off stars for that reason. We did experience a very bad storm in it. The open door was facing away from the wind so, surprisingly, that was not a problem but, the rain blew straight in the ventilation mesh and then pooled on the ground sheet. In summary, we were very happy on dry days even with a strong wind but only because of our four very heavy sandbags connected to the four external corner loops of the tent without which the tent would have been next to useless so. my initial five star rating comes down to three which I think is fair and it will remain a great indoor den for the grandkids.

Love this tent! Just got back from a holiday in Cornwall and used it everyday on the beach. It gave shelter from wind, shade from sun, and kept us dry with any small bits of rain. It’s super lightweight, and the addition of the sand pockets makes it extra sturdy with the pegs too. I watched the video of how to fold this up, and practiced a couple of times at home before going on holiday and was able to easily fold it every time. I definitely recommend watching the video and having a practice as then it is super simple and very fast to both put up and take down. It has a small mesh at the back which means the tent is breathable and doesn’t get too warm, but if it was raining heavily it would let water in, so don’t buy this if you want to use on bad weather. Very happy!!

Managed almost one use out of this and it is no longer fit for purpose. Over the years I have had several of this type of tent. This is the most expensive I have had so far but the quality far worse than others I have had. Two of the tent peg loops became detached on the first use. If there is anything more than a gentle breeze it begins to fold in on itself and even with instructions it is the most difficult one of these I have attempted to fold back up as the frame can twist within the lining causing distortion of the tent. Definitely would not have bought had I known all this, and would not recommend at all.
