I ordered this pillow despite some of the bad reviews and was surprised at how nice it is. It comes vacuum sealed so it’s pretty flat at first. I threw it in the dryer with a wool dryer ball with a bit of lavender oil and it fluffed up in no time. There was a slight smell upon opening the package but nothing horrible like what I was expecting based on the reviews. The 10 minutes in the dryer fixed it right up and I didn’t notice any smell whatsoever.I purchased a 20x20 pillow to fit my 18x18 cover. I always order the pillow insert one size up, and this fit my pillow cover perfectly. It works for the karate chop style. If I need more pillow inserts, I will order from this company again. Price is great for the quality!I didn’t notice any feathers poking out yet, however that comes with the territory of down pillows. A thicker, better upholstery fabric pillow cover works best with down pillows.

After searching for a good insert for my already expensive pillow case, I am so glad I found one! I had ordered a few others but they were terrible. I ordered a 20 x 20 insert and It fit perfectly into my 18X 18 pillow case from pottery barn kids. It was the right amount of fluff it needed. For a minute when I got the box I was hesitant but the pillow was air sealed so you just have to play with it and fluff it and it’s perfect!

Used them for throw pillows with a cover my mom made.

Feathers come out and stick through pillow covers. Prickly. You have to pull them out.
