Malco TY4G Tensioning Tie Tool
I've had this Malco TY4G tie tool for several years and like it a lot. It was reasonably priced and has proven to be very durable. I've gotten a lot of heavy use out of it installing larger 4-foot long 175 pound tie wraps, but also even smaller 15-inch ties on occasion as well. I like the manual cutter on these since it gives me the control and ability to really cinch the tie down as tightly as needed before cutting the tail. With an auto-cut tool, I find you sometimes don't have that same flexibility when required on certain installations. Overall, I'm pleased with these and would have no problem at all recommending them.

Works for Me
This cable tie gun was purchased for use in putting tie wraps around flexible HVAC duct work. The gun was great in cinching up the tie wraps. Why the 4 versus 5 stars you ask? For me, the cut off lever was a little too short and required a lot of force to cut the tie wrap tail off.

Fantastic Cable Tie Tool!
After spending much time researching various cable tie tensioning tools, I decided on this one. In my opinion, you will not find something better at this price point. Although many other tensioning tools tout the self-cutting feature, I for one thing a bonus of this tool is the absence of this feature. For starters, you can decide how tight you want the tie before cutting it. Moreover, a dull cutter does not render the tool useless like some other tensioners I have scrutinized. Finally, it's a shame that it is not shown anywhere in the product details, but this tensioner is MADE IN THE USA. Worth every penny.
