How much does it cost to calibrate at the LA location?

Thanks for your question. 
After 300 tests, the device will initiate a grace period of 20 more tests before maintenance is required. For that reason, we recommend that you send your device to our US service center in Los Angeles before reaching 320 test cycles, as the unit will be locked at 320 tests. The mobile app will display a warning message after 300 tests indicating that maintenance service is required and indicate how many tests remain until the device is locked. (This message is only available when your device is paired with the mobile app) _ 
About the maintenance service:  In reality, it is a "sensor replacement" rather than a calibration because we will replace your used sensor with a new one (including calibration!) and then return it to you as good as new! _The cost of the sensor replacement service is $30. This price includes the return ground shipping within the US. The process takes about 5 working days after receiving your shipment.

Why does the device lock at 320 tests? Why must the sensor be replaced?

Thanks for your question. 
Because the high-grade sensor in Ketoscan mini is always exposed to other gasses, saliva, temperature fluctuations and humidity. It must be replaced after 300 test cycles (max. 320 test cycles) to reliably maintain its highly accurate results.

App does not work. How do I get information on the readout?

Sorry for the problem. 
Now App server is under construction so it affects to log-in of the App. 
We think it will take about 24 hours. So please try again tomorrow and for the time being, please use the device as standalone mode without connecting with app.

The unit has DOT matrix display and it shows your result in PPM(Parts Per Million). 
So according to your PPM level, you can track your body fat burning rate and ketosis level through the attached level chart on this product page.

Question 4

If it's just for testing myself only, can I use the tester without the mouthpiece?  Cap won't go back on with mouthpiece on and may get lost otherwise

For sanitary purposes you need to use the mouthpiece. I keep my device in the case along with my mouthpiece. After I test, I simply remove it and place the cap back on and put both the mouthpiece and device back in the case. Simple. I’m a single user too.
