Mini Table Saw Review, NovelLife with Blade Height Adjustment
Firstly its stable for its small size and this one has the blade height adjustment. I used it to cut down 8 Perspex pre-formed plastics instead of trying to cut an accurate saw line with a hacksaw. These were old so the plastic was quite fragile and I needed a straight cut. The mini saw however cut these easily with a true straight cut line using the fine tooth blade. You have to be quite quick at pushing the plastic through as each one was 300mm in length. If too slow then the motor will stop as the blade gets warm with friction on the plastic. If the motor stops which it did on three of the eight when 3/4 through; switch off for a few seconds and allow time to cool and power off the adaptor then power on again and away you go again. I liked the fact that the motor just stopped without causing any damage; I just was not quick enough pushing through on some bearing in mind that I was cutting a shape formed plastic sheet. I would recommend this mini table saw; its accurate and reasonably safe to use if you are sensible and always keep fingers well away from the blade when pushing through and using the wall guide. I have not tried the polishing motor yet.

Great hobby level table saw
First and quite important is that the mains lead does have the correct UK plug fitted, the PSU is a generic 24V 96W unit which should be more than adequate. The saw and sander have seperate motors which are controlled by a single switch. There is no speed control but that could be easily rectified if required. The decriptive image for this product does show X4 blades but the text description cites X3. I received 3 in the package which is fine as the size range (the biggest are 8cm diameter rip and fine blades, and the smallest a 6cm diamond coated) is pretty common and gives you the ability to cut a range of materials. The blades are very easy to change and a nice feature is that blades with different arber diameters (the hole in the middle) to be used. The saw itself feels of a robust construction with a heavy steel chassis and a 5mm thick aluminium saw bed which is level. The fence secures at both ends so should be capable of being made paralell to the cutting blade really easily using the scales engraved into the bed. The mitre guage allows up to 90 degrees either way and slides through a mitre track (a slot in the saw bed). Overall a nice little table saw that is going to be very handy to have. Th

What a great little table top saw and sander.
The NovelLife Mini Hobby Table Saw was extremely well packaged, no damage whatsoever. Easy to assemble with good pictorial instructions, with one extremely important omission - No Safety Instructions. Rotary table saws can be very dangerous machines and in inexperienced hands, you could literally cut your fingers off or do considerable damage to oneself. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Besides the warning, this is a very capable well designed and manufactured tabletop saw, It is sturdy and stable in operation. If the blade safety guard is used appropriately and a push safety block is used to push the material through the cutting blade, this will be a safe saw to use. There have been several reviews previously complaining that the motor is not powerful enough, if you treat it for what it is - a small hobby table top saw and feed material at an appropriate rate for it's thickness and hardness, then this is an excellent little machine for cutting accurately and safely. I highly recommend this saw for it's quality of workmanship, ease of use and the fact that after use it goes back in its original box for storage on the shelf.

Very useful
This is a great product that cuts cleanly and accurately. I've used it for balsa and there's no tear-out from the very sharp and useful blade. It will cut plastic and metal as well as wood and plywood so is versatile but with such a high blade height I'm reluctant to try plastic in any quantity as the blade will run hot. Really simple to put together (instructions are poor, being of Chinese origin) and up and running in no time. Although it's pricey there are a few things it lacks. There's no tilt on the blade so angled cuts require a jig to be made which then interferes with the guard and makes the machine less safe to use. There's no speed control and it would benefit from that for cutting different materials. There's no height adjustment on the blade which would make it safer when cutting thin material. That's my biggest concern. The inability to raise and lower the blade increases the opportunity for risk. That said, these things would all cost a good deal more. That's why only four stars. For what it is it cannot be faulted and I managed to get one cheaper than the usual price. Recommended.

Ive had the table saw for 2 months and its stopped working. Please do not purchase.
Unfortunately, I'm now unable to return it as it's just passed its return date. The table saw is quite dangerous as it lacks a proper guard and there are no instructions provided. Additionally, the blade of the table saw has stopped rotating, rendering it completely useless.

Brilliant little machine!!!!
I have to say this is one of the best machines I've ever bought for timber model and small/jewelry box making! Quick delivery and we'll packaged! I was surprised by the accuracy of the fence and the cross slide, and the fact that the blade disc is only 1mm thick which saves valuable material when cutting thin but expensive woods and veneer! - I was also amazingly surprised by the fact that the disc CAN be lowered or raised to accommodate the wood thickness (something that was not obvious in the description, so I had bought it on the assumption that I would need to build some platforms to allow this)... But like I say the fact that you can raise/lower the cutting disk is super advantageous!!! - now if only they could figure out a way of tilting the spindle to cut up to °46 that would make this product the absolute best in the market, however on a product this size I realise that that would be quite difficult mechanically... Note that the product is quite small and super light, I also have to give it 100% positive reviews for how quiet it operates!!! I've been using it in my room with my housemates thinking I was using the hoover!!! (as if I clean! Lol)... This mini table saw is ideal for any avid 'mini' woodworker! Super highly recommended, even though I know that at £130.00 it's not the cheapest thing... Let's hope it lasts me years!!!!

Excellent kit for small scale work
First impressions, excellent. Arrives well packed in a plain card box - no printed packaging, however is protected in a foam insert. Just an A4 sheet of simple instructions on how to change the blade, otherwise very simple to put the pieces together. There is a guide fence with a perspex cover, the angle guide, vacuum attachment, two blades - plus one already fitted, the mains (UK) plug and a transformer. The transformer box has a sliding switch to regulate a selection of speeds. I tried it with the fitted blade, and only on very thin wood. The cut was clean and accurate and runs pretty quietly too, this little saw is ideal for those who work in small scale. The bed of the saw is only 180x140mm so you get an idea of the type of work this would suit. Blades are not standard sizes but they can be bought from seller via Amazon site.

Great Value
Novel Life Mini hobby saw The product is made in China and the order was full filled by Amazon, I ordered the saw day after Boxing Day and it arrived Saturday morning a day early. Packed within the Amazon box was the original manufacturers box which was very well packed and the sides were all covered in thick foam covers and shrink wrapped. No damage to the saw thanks to the original packaging, the Amazon box and packing left a lot to be desired. The box contained the saw which was assembled with a saw blade in place (110mm x 30 tooth). Also packed were three Allen keys, two washers of 20mm diameter which I have no idea what use they have and a two pin to UK plug adapter. The power source is a variable voltage power pack meant for tablets and the like, rated 12 to 24 volts in increments which could be used to vary the speed of the blade. Three other packets had the left adjustable guide with wing nuts, vertical adjustable guide with angle adjustment and the plastic saw blade shield. No instructions were included but to be honest assembly was obvious. The aluminium table and base are thick and anodised, the sides a thick plastic, power connection seems positive with no wobble. The graduations are in mm and are accurate too and taken from the left side of the blade, square to the table edge and aligning with the opposite scale. I test ran the saw and there was no wobble of the blade, there is very slight play in the groove of the sliding guide fence of .75mm which can be allowed for when planning the cuts. My current project was in thin hardwood and balsa so did not require me using the saw, however I did some test runs on different types and thickness of wood to see what the saw could be capable of. The saw cut very easily up 20mm MDF, 20mm soft wood, 10mm hardwood but started to slow appreciably above this, and I did actually cut 18mm faced carcass board as I needed to trim 600mm long by 150mm wide carcass. The cuts were square and with care the cut over a linear 600mm was within .7mm, out standing. One minor niggle though, one of the square shank bolts which holds the guide fence had a badly cut thread, the bolt is overly malleable and won't tighten, the other is fine. I'll replace it for a few pennies. I think this is an excellent saw for the price, saw blades of 110mm with 20mm bore are required and there are plenty on the internet. Even the motor could be replaced as it's a generic type from re-chargeable drills. It does not have a tilting blade but I don't think that detracts from the usefulness of this saw. I intend to design a tilting accessory table to make inclined cuts using the slot as the guide.
