100% Natural Origin Moisturizing Matte Lip Crayon, Niagara Overlook - 1 Crayon

The color is a tad lighter than I had thought, but this is perfect. I used to have a staple lipstick in Brick for years by another brand, but they phased it out and I've not been able to find that shade again, but this is it. As others have noted you do need to re-apply it; however, even when the full intensity goes away you are left with a lovely pigment on your lips -- so it does have some staying power. The shade is perfect on me and can be both professional and casual. My skin tone is fair and my natural hair color is greying-Brunette. The feel of it on your lips is wonderful -- not goopy, but instead smooth and moisturizing. I've not been excited about a lip shade in ages. Beyond that, I'm starting to evolve a lot of the products I use to less chemicals and more natural, so this is a perfect move health wise and it compromises nothing for me. I've been using Revlon's Matte Balm crayon for a while since other things were discontinued and I find no real distinguishable difference in the product (Revlon's pigment may stay a bit longer), but Burt Bees isn't putting a bunch of chemicals on my lips -- so Win! Win!

This color is a warm brown/red. On the color wheel I am a spring, goes well with my pale skin. You can use a clear product and put this on. Is a creamy texture.

I definitely like the crayon. It makes it easy to apply the lipstick. I received the first one and the crayon had been defective when Amazon purchased it because these lipsticks are totally wrapped and tamper free. The lipstick was stuck to the top of the cap and when I took the cap off it stayed stuck to the top of the cap breaking the lipstick..but this was not an Amazon problem this was definitely defective when shipped to Amazon. I did a chat with Amazon and they sent me a new one overnight and asked me to let them know if the second one was not defective and it was NOT DEFECTIVE. The lipstick is really great and does not cause my lips to become chapped either. It goes on smooth and looks great. I liked it so much I went out and bought the lip tint in the cardboard container and the lip tint mixed with the lipstick makes a perfect smooth color. This is the lipstick I have been looking for for years so now being retired I have lipstick to last for years AND AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE..ALSO....THANKS Burts Bees.

I got this in Niagara Overlook and it's a very pretty color, but I wouldn't call it full coverage or matte. It's more a satin. That said I do still love it and will probably repurchase. If it'd been listed as a satin I'd have given it 5 stars. Other shades might be matte! Just not this one. The color's somewhere between peach and terracotta on me. It's a very wearable color and could easily be an every day lip color or dressed up. It lasts maybe a little longer than a cream lipstick and wipes away clean with no color left on my lips. I love that. I like the option to just wipe it off and slap on a lipbalm instead of touching it up. It's not full coverage, but maybe medium. Definitely not sheer, but I have a spot of hyperpigmentation that shows through so if you have a scar or anything you want covered this lipstick by itself won't do it. There's not really a scent if your tube is fresh. Just a little waxy smell. If it smells rancid like some other reviewers said theirs did then you need to return it and not even try it on; get a fresh tube and give the product a fair chance.

This is a great product and I can't believe Burt's has quit making it. It's not too shiny or too matte, is very moist on the lips, is reasonably priced, doesn't have a strong smell and I've found two colors I really like. I hope they will add this product back to their line.

I’ve been buying lip products in preparation for my wedding and after trying countless brands that felt chemically disgusting, I went with Burt’s bees! I got their lip shimmer, lipstick and lip crayon and found the lip crayon to have the best feel, staying power and color match. The lip shimmer is moisturizing, but the color left quickly. The lipsticks were nice but the colors weren’t my favorite. I went with the lip crayon in Hawaiian and also bought Niagara since I loved them so much!!

Beautiful colors with smooth, effortless texture and great longevity! Very mild, old-school smell; essentially fragrance free with similarities to vintage lipstick. True to color as well; the undertones are not orange-y or diluted as you would experience with many drugstore-level brands using inferior ingredients. I purchased Redwood Forest, Carolina Coast, and Sedona Sands. Burt’s Bees is a solid product line. I’m a big fan of their lip shimmer’s as well.

Color is gorgeous and goes on smoothe.

I really like this product! The colour is great and is more visible than previous lip products I’ve used from this company. I’m sure I’ll be purchasing this again.

Kurz die Fakten: Konsistenz: - ähnlich wie der Burt's Bees Lippenbalsam, aber etwas weniger ölig - cremig, aber nicht zu cremig Farbe und Deckkraft (Niagara Overlook): - dezent, natürlich, frisch - beim ersten Auftrag nicht 100% deckend, was ich als positiv empfinde - kann je nach Laune geschichtet werden, bis er deckend ist - sieht meiner Meinung nach nicht so "caky"/ klumpig aus wie auf dem Produktfoto, was ich als positiv empfinde Tragegefühl: - wie Burt's Bees Lippenbalsam - man merkt, dass man etwas drauf hat, fühlt sich u.U. etwas "schwitzig" an - hatte bisher allerdings noch keinen Lippenstift, den ich unbemerkt tragen konnte - Wie "nichts" fühlt es sich erst an, wenn man den überschüssigen Lippenstift mit einem Tuch abnimmt, sodass nur noch ein Hauch Farbe übrig bleibt (sieht immer noch sehr hübsch aus) Geruch: - Wachs Kritik: - ich mag es mehr, wenn man die Spitze ganz einfahren kann - so stößt man schnell mal mit dem Deckel dagegen - Geruch nach Wachs könnte für manche Leute negativ sein (stört mich persönlich überhaupt nicht, finde ihn recht "neutral")

Received the item today, was excited to try but it was all melt and smudged on the top cover, as if it was twisted wrongly. Disappointed as I had to dig the crayon fully out and stuff into its container, so much mess.

Uso raramente il rossetto e ho notato che ogni volta mi si screpolano le labbra, perciò ho iniziato a documentarmi e ho scoperto che alcuni ingredienti possono essere allergizzanti. A questo punto ho deciso di eliminare tutti i rossetti acquistati in precedenza e prendere prodotti con INCI più green. Dopo l'utilizzo di questo matitone le labbra restano morbide...tra l'altro è comodo non dover temperare la punta
