I am using it for my kayak. It's flexible and small enough to fit through the kayak's small holes. You can create loops of different sizes, so it will likely fit your use case. The downside is that, having to fit through small holes, it's not very thick and a thief could easily cut it, but it's still a decent deterrent.

I recently purchased this item twice (3 more) for home use as it is an excellent product. I already owned two in use outdoors year round through rain and Buffalo winter snow and no signs of rust or breakdown due to weather. Locking mechanism allows you to tailor loop sizes and snake it around items and a deck post. Am using for outdoor furniture but has multiple uses, i.e. securing kayak, outdoor grill, snowblower, bicycles, etc. Sure a professional criminal can cut through ANY cable but having to cut multiple cables quickly will surely make them think twice. I highly recommend Lasso cable lock devices (they do make others specifically for kayaks which I will invest in soon). This particular model is EXCELLENT for smaller outdoor items.

I have used this lock for several years. Very handy locking kayaks & bikes to car, tree or motorhome. Can make a loop on one or both ends. I ordered a second one for other applications
