OXO Good Grips Corn Prep Peeler

My wife said, "Why in the world do you need this?" but she doesn't do the cooking. Makes cutting the kernels off the cob fast and easy. One of my fave recipes requires 8 cob's worth of kernels. Used to take me several aggravating minutes. Cutting in too deeply? Too shallow a cut? This is perfect. Go figure.

I I good grips corn prep peeler is a great choice if you want to peel fresh corn. It really helped save time with the 50 ears of corn I put in the freezer. The size was as described and the blade is still sharp after using so the peeling ability is something I will use again and again. Great value for the money

I bought this product because I thought it would be better to use than a knife. It fits my hand, easy to use and does a better job than the knife.

Works well but is sharp where it cuts. Be careful. Easy to clean. Worth the money. Perfect size. Perfect to slice right through kernels of corn and compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of space in drawer. Do recommend.

This corn gadget worked perfectly. Such ease at sliding the tool down the cob taking off all the kernels. You can push down hard and the entire kernel cones out! Wonderful Lil thing.

This is such a great tool! My daughter can't eat corn on the cob due to a bonded tooth so I've been cutting off the kernels for years. I always make a mess doing so and have a hard time getting all the "meat". This tool is so easy to use and gets all the kernels easily.

I cut fresh corn off the cob pretty frequently so I was hoping for a tool that would make this quicker and neater than using a knife. Unfortunately, this does neither of those things. It does a good job getting close to the cob, but it doesn’t really have a smooth motion, so you wind up with a jagged line wear some places it’s closer to the cob and others not close at all. I would say the worst part is that it makes much more of a mess than using a knife does. I’m in the habit of covering things in the area with a tea towel when I am cutting corn, but the spray from this was all over me and corn kernels went flying. So, it works if you’re not all that comfortable doing it with a knife, but it’s not going to be my chosen method going forward.

I wish I'd bought one of these years ago. It strips corn kernels off the cob with ease and much faster than using a knife. It also produces fewer part kernels. Comfortable to hold. Simple to use. However, as others have said, the serrated edge is very sharp.
