Weighing a mere 9.9oz (Mens size 43), the Boulder Boot is arguably the lightest boot in the world. The upper of the Black Boulder Boot is made of 1200-denier nylon and is 100% Vegan. The whole boot is completely collapsible, great for stuffing into a pack during a hike and wearing around the campfire afterwards. There's absolutely nothing to this boot, no heel counter, no shank, and nothing stiff that would irritate the foot. If a barely-there boot is what you're in need of, look no further.

These are terrific shoes. Due to medical problems it is almost impossible for me to find shoes that don't instantly trigger nerve pain in my feet. With these shoes/boots, when I take out the removable insoles, it is like wearing a supportive pair of soft moccasins. They fold and easily fit in my backpack, yet provide solid support. They weigh almost nothing, are easy to scrub clean, and because of their good looks, several people have asked me where I got them. The company (Lems) is wonderful to work with. I intend to purchase another pair in a different color. And this is not a paid review!

Don’t stand behind their products
I was very excited about the Lems boulder boots. I received them as a gift and out of the box they fit fantastically. They are light, flexible and great looking. However, after one month of use cracks in the leather began appearing on the sides of the toe box. I contacted Lems customer service and sent them emails describing the problem with photos attached. They requested a receipt which I of course did not have due to them being a gift. Lems would not help me at all. I sent them photos of tread wear to proove the newness of the boots, no help. On Lems website it states if you suspect defects you are able to get a replacement pair, Lems would not honor this. Lems did not stand behind their product and do what was right. Now I’m stuck with a defective product. Very disappointed.

I finally found them! Superb boots!
These are absolutely fantastic boots! To my knowledge there are no other boots designed quite like them.Being a long distance hiker, the zero drop concept of footwear has totally convinced me of its merits. I have been looking everywhere for a wide boxed zero drop light weight boot. This design is superb.I have had my pair now for 3 months. Three times a week I put them to very hard use exercise walking on asphalt. Big fat guy moving at three miles an hour for 2 hours. A little heal wear on the rear edges of the soles is all there is. These boots would be a good choice for alpine summer hiking in the American West.If you want a light weight boot, go no further. You have found it here! And when I say light I mean these boots are sandel light!

These are my absolute favorite shoes. I've worn them countless miles
These are my absolute favorite shoes. I've worn them countless miles, all day, multiple days in a row. Still the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. Plenty of room in the toe box, and the zero drop is great. Not much arch support, but that's not something I care about in a shoe. Seriously considering getting another pair in black.

Defective product buyer beware
Only three months and very little use, my boots began delaminating at the toes. I contacted lems to have them refund or replace the cost of the boots, but because I had tried to waterproof them with beeswax and not the otterwax they sell, they refused to do anything for me. I have read other reviews about these boots that refer to the issue of delamination as well, but thought I'd give them a chance. I would highly discourage anyone from spending so much money on a defective product. I would give these boots no stars if that was an option.
