I have been using this mini drill for about a month. I used the smallest drill to carve my name and phone number on gifts like pens, and it works perfectly. I don’t know how much I have saved on personalized items so far. This set is not an expensive investment. I am so glad that I could buy it on amazon.

The little machine did big help! I am an amateur ant keeper and wanted to make my ants a plaster formicarium, and kit has everything I needed to finish the job with ease.

Very very very disappointing. I saw the mixed reviews but there were reviews from people who make jewelry who liked it and as I wanted it for jewelry I thought I'd give it a try. Guess that was a mistake. I wanted it for drilling holes in silver clay after it had been fired so while it's harder then when it's prefired dry stage it's still softer then many metals. It failed at this. I'm not sure if the motor is just not powerful enough or all the drill bits that come with are just dull but since it stops spinning if I put any sort of pressure needed to actually drill a hole I suspect it just does not have the power to do its job. Usually I put my holes in while the clay is still soft but did not do that this time as I was experimenting figuring I could just add holes later. I also travel extensively for work so don't have room for a bulky kit and equipment and wanted something small that would not take up much space and get the job done. Sadly this was not it. Also no instructions, user manual or content list. There was one little descriptor card that came with it but not in English. This is $24 dollars I will never get back. Do yourself a favor and find something else.

I needed to drill a very precise hole 7/16" deep in a cabinet and needed a small drill that would be handled easily, while I held the open door to keep it stationary. This drill did the trick with one problem. Every now-and-then it would quit, and I had to jiggle the power cord to get it to work again. Fortunately, it lasted long enough to do the job, but the quality and reliability seem to leave a lot to be desired. It was made in China, so I wasn't surprised.Here's a useful tip if you need to drill a hole at a precise depth and don't have a drill-stop that works on these tiny drill bits. The set comes with 5 chucks that fit the different drill bits. I used one to hold the drill bit and a slightly larger one to slip over the drill bit. Then I adjusted the length of the drill bit extending from the chuck that held it so that the length beyond the other chuck was just right. That other chuck acted as a drill-stop. It wasn't tightly fixed to the bit, so it didn't go around as a standard drill-stop would, but that didn't matter. When the drill went in the right depth, the extra chuck was in contact with the piece I was attaching and also with the chuck holding the bit. It would then spin with the drill, telling me that the depth was correct.

I actually had to return this item. I got it for my wife to use in her crafts, but the instructions were not in English and were poor visually also. I tried to fit the attachments on too and couldn’t get them to fit/function correctly. Return process was fine but I’d recommend getting another option.
