Convertible Free M otion Quilting Foot Set for 1600P

I bought this for quilting since my Janome 1600P does not have feed dogs that lower. I needed to cover the feed dogs, but the quilting foot was a bonus item for me. I do wish I they sold only the feed dog cover, as I had a quilting foot already. I would have liked to save some money on purchasing only what I needed, and perhaps a different foot for my machine separately, but that's marketing I guess. The cover is very easy to install, and works great. It is made of the same quality metal that the standard feed dog plate is made with. My original concern was that because this cover piece was not solid, the feed dogs may still be exposed and can catch on the fabric. That was not the case here, thank goodness. I quilted an entire twin size quilt, with very tedious quilting techniques (swirls, feathers, etc.) and had no problems whatsoever with the feed dog cover or the quilting foot. I did end up using the quilting foot to try it out since it came with the cover. The foot also works very good and I ended up using it for the entire project. It took me a while to figure out I had to loosen or tighten the spring in order for it to move freely. The machine is new to me also, so I had quite a bit of a learning curve since the booklet with the machine stinks. Just in case anyone from Janome should read this review, I would like to put out there to that when you create such a great machine, it should come with a decent instruction manual. Anyway, this is a good product, made well and does what it is intended for very accurately.

This Janome convertible free motion foot should have come with my Juki TL-2010Q. It has adjustment for the height and works perfect for free motion quilting. I had trouble with the Juki one. There was no adjustment and hard to use for free motion. Now, I am able to free motion quilt with this.

Perfect! Has both open and closed toe feet (I prefer open), and a thick screw-down plate to compensate for the odd fact that you can't drop the feed dogs on the 1600P. And unlike the darning foot, it doesn't bounce up and down while you sew. It's exactly what I was looking for, all metal and very sturdy.

I have had the hardest time in learning free motion and getting my stitches straight. I have a Juki TL 2010Q and have purchase the westalee ruler foot, the clarity foot along with the feet that came with my machine and have had issues with each one. I purchased this as a final effort and low and behold, it was magic! I now have the perfect stitch and I can't even believe it. I just wish I had purchased this one first, but wasn't sure it would work on my machine. It is a perfect fit! I still have plenty of practice to do, but this is one part of the process I no longer have to deal with!

Good investment for ruler quilting by machine. Necessary for the Janome Convertible Free Motupion Quilting foot. Would definitely recommend it. I have not had it very long. Would have been nice to have some directions or suggestions, especially about watching the tightening the screws, etc. as they do need to be checked from time to time.

This was recommended for fmq for my Brother pq1500sl machine by the brother pq1500sl Facebook group. I was having trouble with the light reflecting off the darning foot that came with the machine making it difficult to see what I was stitching and where to go. I've only used the closed circle foot of the two that come in this pack and am very happy with the results! Easy to attach to my machine.

I have a Janome 1600P and I needed this for more exact quilting than my other quilting foot allowed. Highly recommend.

I purchased this free motion foot for my Juki tl2010q. I love the fact you can interchange the foot section with a variety of different free motion feet...I have only given this a test drive but am already loving.
