The Bending Branch line has excellent craftsmanship from wood laminates to full carbon fiber. The offer light weight and an 11 degree bent paddle. I assumed you would use it with the bend toward you. After receiving it I found out it is the opposite! It also has a nifty tip that reduces injury from rocks. On top of that they are lightweight and pretty to look at.

Bought this for my wife for our new canoe. Only problem with it was the graphics on the blade are on the wrong side, lol. She kept turning it backwards so she could she them while paddling. Used the other way it a very powerful paddle and ergonomically designed not to fatigue the paddler. Very nice paddle.

Just used it on the red River Gorge in my canoe used in my old town 158. Solo were great. Takes a little to get used to picked up a little more force takes a little time to get into the habit of pulling out sooner.

Purchased this a few years back - two of them. I probably have them on the water about 10 days a year, so call it 20-30 days tops that I've used these. The wood on both started to split on the paddle. I had to bend it as much as I would dare and forced wood glue in there as best I could to fix it. Then I sanded it down and put a coat of varnish down. I didn't see anything about possibly having to re-coat these, but I suggest that if you buy them, every other year or so you sand it down and put a fresh coat of varnish on it. The wood didn't look like it warped or soaked, but once the split formed, water had to have been getting into the crack and getting onto the raw wood.

We used our oars for the first time this past weekend and they were wonderful. They are very light and it was so easy to paddle our canoe with them. The seller was great with communication. Due to covid, they ran short of the oars but they kept in constant contact with me, letting me know what the status was and they even offered to waive the shipping fee, which was not necessary as it was out of their control. Really happy with everything.

I bought this for my paddler husband for his 50th birthday. We had people sign it with Sharpies and we'll seal it so he can display it or use it. He was a bit upset at first thinking I had people sign his 'good paddle' that cost a lot more than this one. He was impressed by the look and feel of this, especially for the price. It compares to a paddle of 3-4 times the price. Very happy.

Bought 2 of these paddles for a trip to the BWCA. We paddled 27 miles and they worked great for us. Very comfortable to use and these bent paddles worked so much better than traditional paddles. Great value at $99.

I already had 2 Bending Branches "Loon" paddles and love them for their light weight, smooth finish and durability. Bought these "BB Specials" after hearing the bent shaft gives greater efficiency. They came in 2 days (amazon prime) and we used them on a week-long trip. Really like them on flat water. Would buy again.
