This has been a ridiculously helpful soap for my problematic skin and scalp. I was getting real close to just cutting off all my hair because of this awful ‘breakout,’ or flare, idk what was going on. I figured I’d try it on scalp and hair because what did I have to lose? as well as have been using it full body. I’ll come back to edit in a few months if I do see any hair damage, but so far it’s been fine. I can literally feel it calming down the angry, itchy spots as soon as it’s applied, and I was afraid it might burn on broken skin but so far has felt fine. I was worried when some reviews said it had a heavy perfume smell, maybe there’s been a formula change. I find the scent pretty mild, except yeah it does smell like sulfur which isn’t necessarily my favorite experience but what am I gonna do. The sulfur smell does rinse well and layers okay under perfume, so it’s not terrible. I agree with other reviews that it is a very drying/ stripping soap, definitely gonna want a big bottle of lotion to go with, but also that’s kind of the point, right? (And obvs conditioner if you’re using it on hair.) Using on hair I found quickly that it lathers poorly the first wash, but lathers super well the second wash, so I guess you do need to double shampoo here. The bar does seem to run out faster/ last less time than other bars I’ve used, but I’ve also never used bars on my long hair before so I suspect that’s the real issue. For the price and effectiveness I’m okay with it. It seems to help with every skin problem I’ve ever had, from scalp issues to forever acne to random itchy spots to the eczema areas. It helps even when I don’t use it every day or am having struggles. And I super appreciate that it doesn’t have anything like peppermint or menthol to create a ‘tingling sensation’ like some products, it doesn’t feel like anything other than a scratchy soap. (The bar does have some physical exfoliant bits.) Has a good lather. Old bars ‘glue’ well onto new bars. It’s definitely worth trying, just with any skin medicine maybe try a spot test or use caution when applying to sensitive areas and face.

Received this today, gave it a run! So first appearances, it smells pleasant. Idk if they added something to hide the sulfur scent that everyone’s mentioning, but it smells citrusy floraly idk, it’s pleasant but not overwhelming. The scent doesn’t stick to your skin when you use the soap though so it doesn’t really matter all that much. It lathers mediocrely, like it kinda starts but then gets creamy instead of sudsy. It gives you a squeaky clean feeling like a normal bar of soap, and once you towel off you feel a little dryness to your skin. It made a couple of my back acne scabs fall off though, first use, so maybe a good sign? Docked off a point because it made my bacterial acne itchy since it dried it up a little. I’ll update if i see any big improvements to my acne, i’m really hoping this is my saving grace. Tried everything under the sun and somehow ended up here. Fingers crossed! Update: Holy smokes i found the holy grail, i added before and after photos of my back (even though it is embarrassing) and now everything is just scarring. I was so close to turning to accutane because NOTHING was working, except this bar of gold that i stumbled upon. Upped my stars to 5 because i can’t stop bragging about this soap and how great my skin looks, i can now wear open back tank tops and tank tops in general without being embarrassed. God bless this soap, if i could reach out to the creators of this bar of soap and be their mascot i would. This soap is life changing! Get it get it get it!!!

I’ve been pleased with this soap. It leaves my skin feeling clean without being overly drying, and a little goes a long way. It has a medicinal scent, which is expected for this type of product, but it’s worth it for the results. If you’re looking for a sulfur soap, this is a solid option.

I wish I would have taken before photos but you're just going to have to trust me on this: I was on antibiotics for a tonsil abscess (scary, awful, do not recommend) and afterwards I got a really gnarly fungal acne breakout just on the left side of my face (same side as the abscess, weird). Had no idea what fungal acne was before that, didn't know what to do, didn't want to pay a dermatologist a million dollars to figure it out, so I tried this soap. Literally the morning after I used it my skin showed signs of improvement. I was shocked. The texture of my skin started getting smoother again, gradually the oiliness started to decrease, it's been about a week now and my skin is like, 75% recovered. I can't believe how well this stuff works. I also have mild eczema, so this soap seems to be perfectly fine for sensitive skin. If you're dealing with random fungal acne this is the one for sure. Get it! (Oh also I saw some reviews about smell before I bought it - smells fine. Smells like regular degular soap. Nothing crazy at all)

I bought this soap a few days ago and started using it for my hormonal acne. I've been struggling with acne since my early 20's and now that I'm 30 my acne has been getting bad again. I've been trying to find the right face products that help me, but nothing had worked everything seemed to make my skin worse. I came upon this soap last week and thought why not give it a try it's a good price and it has good reviews. I'm so happy I decided to give this soap a try. I've been using it for 4 days already and I can say my skin is definitely looking better. I had a pretty bad flare up around my chin area and now its 50% gone. I'm so happy and can't to keep seeing results with this soap. It's honestly great! Better than any other expensive products. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone struggling with acne.

This is an amazing product!! I am a woman in my early 50's and sometimes get a few breakouts, I have NEVER had an issue with this until recently, good ol hormones I am guessing!! By the 2nd day using this, my skin was clear as can be!!! Not too fond of the smell, but that's 100% fine!!! Highly recommend!!

The soap is highly effective. It lasts a long time. A little goes a logn ways. Recommended for anybody who suffers oily skin and break-outs or has various skin issues. I find the soap mild. But they've over-fragranced the newer version. Yuck! It's sulfur soap. Enough said. The smell before was not BAD, but it was better than what it smells like now. Please reduce the fragrance. it is not needed.

better thank all the skin care i’ve used. spent so much money on korean skin care french skincare and would still break out. i think it’s due to me using a lot of products. stopped using them ALL and just washed my face with bar soap. my skin has finally cleared up it took around 2 months for it to fully calm my skin. i’m just so thankful
