Does not extend displays as advertised from a Dell XPS 15
I bought this hub because I regularly go back and forth between a Dell XPS 15 and a MacBook Pro where I plug 2 external 4k Dell Ultrasharp displays into them. I haven't tested it on the MacBook Pro yet, but I'm not expecting to be able to drive 2 extended displays from it since the description clearly says it can't. So from the Mac, I'm planning to drive just one 4k display from either the mini-DP or HDMI port, and the second screen from a USB-C to DP cable which should work fine. The problem is that the description clearly says that it will extend up to 2 displays at 4k in Windows when using both the HDMI and mini-DP ports -- but it doesn't work. As you can see from the photo, the screen on the right is displaying at 800x600. There is no way to change the resolution as long as the HDMI cable is plugged in. All the settings for the min-DP screen are disabled.I also tried mirroring the displays and it mirrors them both at 800x600, so that doesn't work either! When the HDMI is not plugged in, it drives the screen perfectly, though. So this adapter will only effectively drive 1 external display. This wouldn't be a big deal except that the Dell XPS only has one USB-C port so I specifically bought this hub so I don't have to constantly switch cables around.I should mention that the product did arrive damaged (which you can see in the other photo) because it was packaged so poorly during shipping that perhaps the problem I'm experiencing was caused from the damage, but since it displays the proper resolution when the HDMI cable is unplugged I'm not holding out hope. Amazon has a replacement on the way. If the replacement works correctly, I'll update this review. But for now, if you want to drive 2 screens from a PC, I recommend you look elsewhere!UPDATE: The replacement worked exactly the same, which means it didn't work as advertised. I returned them both before receiving and testing with the MacBook Pro, but in case anyone is wondering, the HDMI out is only 30hz. If I remember right, the mini-DP out was 60hz when the HDMI wasn't being used. It at least had that going for it.

Wouldn't be without it now!
The first thing that pleased me was the construction. Markedly solid, and the designers were thinking all the way around. Sporting safety "feet" on both top and bottom, allows it to land either way. And the shape itself ensures that it will have adequate surface area and airflow to remain cool. The jacks are also first quality. Nothing flimsy about this device! you*If your computer doesn't have a USB-C, you'll want to get a female/female USB-C and a USB3 type 1 to USB-C cord. I use this with both my Macbook Pro and my Mac Pro desktop, for convenience. Neither of mine had a USB-C but a nifty $3 adapter worked just fine, and allowed me to plae the hub wherever I would like. Can't think of a thing else I could want! This innovation let me use an ethernet hard wired connection for my laptop,, providing a way faster connection. When I upgraded my software last weeekend, the ethernet connection had it downloaded and installed in a fraction of the time I'd have spent waiting on Wifi. This is the device I never really knew I needed before, but wouldn't want to be without now!

Works with 24" Apple LED Cinema Display
I have used a number of those little dongles that are recommended to connect a USC C/Thunderbolt 3 MacBook to an Apple LED Cinema Display and none have fit the bill. Either they flat out didn't work, they worked but made the display flicker, or they did not include power delivery. This Dock fits my needs. It is able to use a single port on my Mac while connecting the display (Mini DP) and speakers (USB A), while giving me additional ports for my SD Card, mouse, and keyboard. I will definitely keep using it.Cons:- Kinda flimsy, not as solid as I imagined it would be- Photos looked like it would match my Space Gray Mac, the actual dock is a little darker.Overall I would recommend this dock, especially if you have an LED Cinema Display.

It actually works
I'm using this for my MacBook and MacBook Pro. The MacBook only has a single USB-C connector, while the Pro has multiple Thunderbolt connectors. I needed something that worked on both systems so that I could change them out easily. I have tried three other USB-C docks but this is the only one so far where all of the functions I need to work work. In the other three, two from Amazon, one from Best Buy, either the HDMI port didn't work or the Ethernet port didn't work. Not only do all of the USB-A, USC-C, HDMI, and Ethernet ports work but I also tried the MicroSD card slot and it worked. I can't believe I was able to find something for less than $180 that works. And it even fits nicely under the back of the MacBook, keeping everything nice and tidy. I'm fairly happy with it so far. I mean it could die on me any day considering the way these things are made, but it's great right now.

Laptop wifi stops working when this is plugged in
I'm using this with a recently purchased 15" MacBook Pro. It works well, except for one thing. When I plug in this dock the laptop wifi connection either completely refuses to connect, or connects but drops half the packets and has ping times 10x the usual time. Bottom line is I can't use wifi while this dock is plugged in. As soon as I unplug the dock wifi starts working reliably again. I'm not using the Ethernet port on the dock. I'm sitting 20' from the router, there is plenty of wifi signal strength. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd love to hear it.

defective unit
First off I got this particular docking station because it had a mini DP port that I thought I could use with my DVI Monitor and old mini DP to DVI adapter. Well you can't (explained by 7 zero tech support). I don't know if I just missed that nugget in the description or if it wasn't there.I had problems with the unit as a whole with USB speed, rj45, functionality, and over heating. Zero 7 offered a refund.
