The book was in very good shape.It covers all the beginning information I need to begin this Art. So happy with it.

This book is awesome! I have many of Donna's books but this is my favorite. I've been painting using the One Stroke method for about 5 months and I'm HOOKED! I've taken 13 classes with my local OSCI since then, which is the best way to improve your OS painting skills, but this book is a great compliment to those classes. Donna uses about 15 pages in the beginning of the book to go over materials, techniques and colors. Then she covers 50 flowers/blooms using 2 pages for each. The picture of her finished piece is a full page and of course very colorful. Then on the opposite page it lists the brushes and paints you'll need and a step by step guide on how to paint the flower(s). But it doesn't stop there. She uses 14 pages at the end to cover filler flowers and floral composition. Finally the last 2 pages are a gallery of floral project ideas. This is an invaluable resource! Enjoy!

Those familiar with Donna know her as the patient and gentle speaking teacher from her PBS series show. This is how she comes over in her "Flowers from A to Z" book. Easy to follow for beginners with tips that will interest more advanced artists, she demonstrates techniques from her many years of instruction. You don't need to have talent to paint, it can be learned and this book will get you started.

This book is excellently illustrated and has clear and easy to follow written instructions. The clarity of the illustrations is outstanding and the section dealing with composition was something of an added bonus. The colour swatches, for those who prefer to use a different make of paint, was an excellent idea. I would temper this review with stating that, in my opnion, it is suitable for an experienced beginner who is moving into intermediate skills. Ths book arrived quite promptly considering I live in New Zealand and was well packed. I am glad I bought it.

Years.Your book was just what I was looking an easy to follow book just a great book.An beginner can follow .Like the examples this book is like I having an instructor in my home.I will be looking into your other books.

As she has always done, Donna walks you through painting several different flowers using an assortment of color combinations. She makes it easy to follow and get some beautiful results just by doing each step in order. This book is great for the beginner as well as a visual aid reminder for some of us older forgetful people.

Ms. Dewberry has made it so easy to follow along. Full explanations with big step by step pictures. I am having lots of fun with this one stroke painting and am very pleased with my purchase. By the way it was a second hand book that looked like a brand new one to me :)
