"do you lesbian?"
"Do you lesbian with Allie?" Seriously one of the funniest lines ever written. You have to have a good sense of humor to read this book. (And I'm not making a slam on political correctness, as some do when referring to having a sense of humor.) Speaking of political correctness, it was Allie not being "politically correct" (as termed by Quinn) when it came to Quinn's facial scar, that was the beginning of Quinn's interest in Allie. Everybody else tried to ignore the scar or was rude about it - or both. This was such a delightful book, characters - main and minor, plot, etc. I only wish it were longer. And that, likely, still wouldn't be enough. Way to go, Lila Bruce!

Water meets Oil
This was an enjoyable read. Quinn was an outstanding character showing the signs of war and being anti-social after the damage left her less than desireable, in her eyes. Her sister, Rebekah, has found a niche in the business arena with the help of Allie Jenkins and her cousin, Amanda. Allie and Quinn didn't hit if off during the first or second encounter when it appeared Rebekah and Amanda might have been playing matchmakers. The Cat, not having a name and how nobody wanted it, but nobody want to give her up either. The build up to the wedding was funny and got the plot on track. I couldn't stop reading.

Absolutely love this book
Absolutely love this book. Another Winner by this Author. It's about over coming your fears and living life to the fullest. I loved all the Characters. Felt bad for the cat. Nobody really wanted him (not that he wanted them either) The Aunt and Uncle were character's"Lebanese". Totally made me laugh. I Love how Allie's family excepted Quinn as apart of there crazy group. Great story, Great Author. .

A hero and her gift of true love.
Lila Bruce weaves a wonderful story about someone who should be looked at as a hero who feels love isn't possible anymore due to disfigurement due a helicopter crash. Once able to see the Captain's heart, the scars that she has endured are no longer evident. Allow see Quinn as a beautiful woman who deserves to be loved and feels honored that Quinn allows her into her heart.

Nice Read
Really nice read. I enjoyed how the relationship between Quinn and Allie seemed to have a natural build-up. Happy to see none of the insta-love that is in a lot of romances these days. The supporting characters added depth to the story. Really funny at times, I didn't expect that. Hot when it needed to be. Overall, a good book to read on a cold winter night

Fantastic read!
This is the first novel I've read by Lila Bruce and hope it won't be the last (hopefully she will write a lot more). I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Her characters were solid and very interesting. The plot was great. Quinn and Allie are now two of my favourite characters and I adored Aunt Marge! Ah those "Lebanese" girls, they are adorable.

A Patriotic Romance
I really enjoyed this read. The characters were great and I loved the humor brought out by them. Love Aunt Marge :)There were some grammatical errors which is a pet peeve of mine. Fortunately not too many.I look forward to reading other stories by Lila Bruce.
