Good for MY purpose...
Roundish wooden balls. Bought to make ball finials for homemade Versailles planters. They appear to be beech, are good and hard, easy to drill. They're not perfectly round and have a slighty obvious flat, which is where I drill them. These were the cheapest on amazon when purchased and despite other reviews I'm quite please with my purchase.

Perfectly smooth.
Arried in perfect condition! So smooth and perfect. I used these for the top of Versailles planters with screw dowels.

Not perfectly round though generally acceptable. One had a flat surface (as pictured).

Perfect for use on a coconut shy!
Bought the balls to use on a coconut shy at a friends party and they did the job brilliantly. Perfect size and weight to knock the coconuts off when struck.
