I love it and it helps out with the bugs on my Jeep Wrangler

The media could not be loaded.  Had ithe vebtshade for properly I would have rated it 5 stars but it goes to show how good it is that I still have it 4 stars.When you install it as recommended by Manf. It will not allow the Jeeps hood to properly close. Take a look at the video below to see how I overcame the issue.

This works MUCH better than the hood nose cover that I received last time. I have used similar to this type on 2 jeeps for more than 20 years. The one just before this was a simple nose cover that glued directly to the hood when it cracked and blew off on the interstate, it took a stripe of hood paint along with it.

I have had a Bugflector II on my Jeep for 10 years and it still look very good and performs the same as the day it was installed. I mounted this particular hood shield on my '10 Nissan Xterra. It has been through automated car washes, in heavily blowing sand while driving off road in the desert and exposed to normal highway hazards such as bugs, rocks and other debris, and still looks brand new. These will get some minor scratches but they are nearly invisible against the smoked pigmentation. Simple to install and effective in design. Cheap protection for hood paint and windshields.

When I received it, I was pleased with the quality and ease of installation. Overall it seems to keep the smaller and lighter bugs from impacting the windshield. The larger ones seem to hit higher on the windshield. It is installed on a Jeep Wrangler, TJ and the windshield is pretty much at an 80 degree angle. Not at all aerodynamic.

This shield works even better than I expected. My windshield is staying cleaner (less bugs) and the wind noise in the cab of my jeep is a fraction of what it was. The only real downfall, thus the 4-star, is that is cuts down on the efficiency of the heater (less air through blower)

Replacing one that was 15 years old that a neighbor kid hit with a frisbee. Got a little brittle after 15 years, lol. These things are great and cause no issues with noise from the soft top like some bozo told me in about 2002.

It looks ok, and was easy to put on, it just isn't really a "low profile" type of deflector.It doesn't lay low on the hood like I wanted, and like the picture shows, it sticks up a little more than that.Still, was a good purchase and I'm ok with it.
