Lakewood LSF1610C-BM Black Oscillating Stand Fan with X-Base, 16-Inch

Okay so this is a nice fan, works very well. Metal cage and plastic fan blades. For me it works great and I think its worth the money. I saw a lot of bad reviews about this fan but I like it. The price was right for sure. It's nice looking too. Cools me just fine. I mean don't be expecting a $200 fan here. This is adequate for a little extra cooling off. It was easy to put together no problem there. Seems powerful enough for my living room. I also use it outside on my patio with another fan and it helps on those really hot days. All in all I like it. My one concern was that the box was mutilated when it got here but not a scratch on anything - no damage at all......probably the carriers fault but all is good.

So I actually wouldn't have even taken away a star for this product for the durability of the materials because I do believe you are getting what you pay for with this fan...except for the fact that one day I heard a loud clunking noise and the fan's propeller mechanism literally fell apart. I managed to put it back together and screwed everything in extra tightly, and it hasn't happened again...but it scared the crap out of me and it was clear that the plastic-y, cheap materials were probably behind the issue. The vibration of the fan must have worked the pieces loose somehow. Either way, though, the fan does a fair job blowing air and it was the size we wanted - and, again, you get what you pay for!

this is a great fan! i love it and it arrived a day earlier then it was supposed to. it’s value for money is great, and i love the 3 setting feature. even setting 1 is enough to cool me down, so airflow is great. it oscillates very far both directions and is relatively quiet, it’s never been a problem for me. great fan, would buy again.

Great fan, easy to put together out of the box. Smooth oscillation. Low noise however I like "white noise' of a fan. Very sturdy around 2 large dogs.Update: this fan lasted me since 2016 it’s starting to slow down I don’t know if it’s too dusty it doesn’t look like it or for $30 I got a lot of use out of it now the price is $42.

Super easy to assemble, but cheaply made. There is a lot of thin plastic parts and pressure screw tighteners. The motor is so heavy in comparison it falls forward no matter how tight you make it. I predict this lasts about a year and I'll have to get another fan.

Lakewood makes good fans. Purchased this for my gym to use in front of my favorite elliptical, a gift to them! In 1948 myfamily (at that time age 10 myself) purchased a big Lakewood window fan. to cool apartment. In 1968 I brought this fan, a Lakewood "Country Air" to my home in upstate New York. Now, in 2017, it is still going. Cools house all Summer Long, for nearly sixty years! Should include photo of this thing, now it's in storage awaiting another Summer!

Even when fully extended the height is on the low side. Even when angled fully up the tilt is not as high as our previous fan. The cage does not easily attach and at the bottom of the cage is a guide screw that works better when removed and installed reversed from original position.Fan does blow properly but makes more noise than our old fan.All in all the fan functions but not as well as hoped. We will see how long it lasts, especially since it feels cheap. But of course it was cheap.

It took me 2 fans to realize one of the parts on the parts list is actually already assembled onto the motor. Part "E", the rear grill mounting nut is screwed onto the motor and must be removed before installing the rear grill.Other than that confusion, the fan is quiet and works great. I really like the speed buttons on the front. The head of the fan is also adjustable to face up or down with the knob on the side.

The Lakewood brand name is subsidiary of manufacturer Sunbeam, which is one of the better names in home appliances, of course the unit is made mostly of plastic, but at this price what can we expect. It moves air very well. I live in a one bedroom apartment on the first floor of an all brick four story building. With a window air conditioning unit, the fan helps to move the cool air to the rear of the unit. This allows for the running of the AC at medium speed instead of full out, as the need becomes on very hot days. This three speed fan is sturdy stuffy on its base while operating on high speed. So far so good! I'm going to purchase a second fan as a back up.

Had some trouble assembling it, but when I finally finished it was well worth my struggles. Love this fan, very effective and worth the money.

This fan was easy to assemble and has great air output, but the only drawback is there’s no habile on top , so instinctively when you want to move you try to reach for the top and guess what , no handle, so had to make one out of green long twist ties, I shouldn’t be working that hard on a product I just bought, but apart from that it’s ok quality, not premium quality, it does the job.

This is a perfect stand fan. Not noisey , and gives out a nice cool breeze, My next door neighbour put it togeather in 15 mins. Awesome!! Very Happy!
