A hardcover volume that showcases the intriguing evolution of pixel art from the Final Fantasy series! Containing detailed sprite sheets that showcase the pixel composition of Final Fantasy 's beloved characters, maps of Final Fantasy 's most popular highlighting tools used by the developers, and a special interview with Kazuko Shibuya, the character pixel artist for the Final Fantasy series , FF Dot is a one of a kind product that immerses readers into an iconic aspect of the Final Fantasy experience. Dark Horse Books is proud to collaborate with Square Enix to bring fans FF Dot: The Pixel Art of Final Fantasy , translated into English for the first time. This localization of the original Japanese publication holds nearly 300 pages of colorful pixel art, and is an invaluable addition to any Final Fantasy fan's collection. Review: A Lovely Art Book for those Who Love Pixel Art from RPGs - Growing up playing NES & SNES games, I love pixel/sprite art. Featuring pixel art from Final Fantasy to Final Fantasy VI, this book has various types of pixel art including sprite sheets of different poses & walk cycles, backgrounds, monsters, and pixels of characters if they were done in 2018. There’s even pixel art from Final Fantasy VII to Final Fantasy XV. My ONLY complaint is that even though the book I got came in plastic wrap, somehow a couple of pages have creases. But since the creases are light, I’m gonna let that slide. All in all, this is a must have for those who love the Final Fantasy games from the NES and/or SNES era or those who love pixel art in general. Review: Great art book!!! - This artbook covers most retro ff games, prints are colorful and well organized. Great for collectors and hobbiest who do perler bead art.

Highest quality print. I ordered this book during the early part of the 2020 pandemic. When it arrived I was so happy. The images were comforting during a time of great stress in our world. It reminded me that Final Fantasy has been a tremendous part of my life. I'm grateful for the effort put into this book, which was in part a preview of the Pixel Remasters that came later. Brilliant.

Amazing book, but unnecessary
I would give this book 5 stars, but at the end of the day I don't think I can. I love flipping through it and looking at the color palettes and seeing the ways the artists communicated ideas through their limited palettes and spaces. There are also little 3D paper arts you can do of some of the sprites, like the fountain pictured above. It has helped me in my pixel art journey and it could 100% help you. The only reason I would say not to buy it is because all of the sprites are accessible online. If you want to understand the art on a deeper level and develop an appreciation for the passion that pixel art contains, buy it. If you want to look at them quickly as references and are an experienced pixel artist, it is not as useful, you could learn the rules just by looking at the sprites online, but you would miss the explanations and writings that help explain the art.

Great for my Quilting!
I bought this book at launch and it has pretty much become my “bible” for Final Fantasy pixel art. I sew and love making nerdy quilts so when I saw this, it was a total insta-buy. It showcases so much original art as well as newly designed sprites (for both older and newer games). I honestly didn’t know about the newer games being designed as sprites so when I saw this, I immediately got to creating. Beyond this being a great pattern book for pixel quilting, I loved seeing a piece of FF history we don’t get to know about. Also loved the interview showcased. A good book for any Final Fantasy lover collection!

A great book for a fan of the early final fantasy series.
I love this book! I grew up with the NES and this brought back a lot of memories of how as a kid I would get lost in the creativity of what developers of these games made with only some blocks. I love pixel art and this book is great if you enjoy making your own and admiring the work of someone else's and seeing their imagination from some truly great games. This book is small in size but is perfect size to show blown up images of final fantasy pixel characters and creatures, also of places from the games. Also having final fantasy characters from beyond the Nintendo/SNES was a really cool surprise to see if they had been made in that era.

A really awesome book, it's a must have for any final fantasy fan. So many pages(300!) for such little price. Beautifully made! It arrived in a hard package in perfect condition.

Buch Topp Amazon Schrott

Arte Pixel Art, calidad y recuerdos.
