What is the size of the flower?

This plant is a slow grower and takes it's time getting to the stage where it will flower. But if you follow the instructions and help it grow the flower is is well worth the wait. It can be several inches both wide and long, very impressive.

How long before you get blooms?

It takes two years. My plants are just one year old and have grown very large I expect to see some blooms in the summer.

is this a night bloom cerus? How old is that mother plant? Had one that took 5 yrs to bloom. Beautiful, no odor.

Though it is sometimes referred to as a night-blooming cereus, it is not closely related to any of the species in the tribe Cereeae, such as Selenicereus or Moonlight cactus. These take usually about 3 years to bloom from my 19 years growing them experience. Strong intoxicating odor that smells exactly like ylang-ylang that is strongest from dark to slightest crack of morning.
