Just what I was looking for!
This little tool rocks! It’s perfect for getting into those cracks and crevices. I also used it to remove all the weeds and what not in those tight spaces that I didn’t think was possible to get into. I definitely recommend this product it’s a must to your gardening tool set!

Handy light weight tool!!
This tool saves me from back pain from picking up pears and apples by hand as I previously had to do. I don't have to get too close to the hornets and yellow Jackets loving on the fallen fruit either. For that in itself I love it! I gave this 4 stars for 2 reasons. 1st being the size of my fruit, and the compatibility of this tool with larger fruits [not a clue what kind/type of apples or pears they are, but they're girthy ;) ] It picks them up without too much effort unless you try to go for gold, and fill the cage up before emptying. The bigger fruit bends the plastic cage open enough where you stop picking fruit up and start letting the collected ones out. It takes 3 or 4 fruit (of my size which the premature apples are roughly 5 inches across unlike the smaller ones seen in the advertisements for this. The pears are slightly larger than the apples) before you have to dump it. Not too much of an issue, but I was hopeful for more collection before dumping. My 2nd gripe was the price. Even with the vendor I purchased this from (was not directly from Amazon warehouse, but a 3rd party vendor) spending $100 for this seems a tad on the high side for some silly reason. The vendor I went with included a handle with the purchase where as Gardena only seems to sell the rolling cage as is for ~$70 then you have to purchase a combi system handle which isnt too far off depending on the style of handle. Gardena seems to be the "Nike" of gardening products so you're paying more for the name than the utility of it... Even though I saved a few bucks with the cage & handle system, other brands have similar items for half the cost with everything you need included (other brands seemed to be targeted towards walnuts and small items). This unit has the single fruit scoop/emptying area where as similar items did not. That was another big reason why I spent more to get this rather than a different brand. All in all, it is a very useful tool and it's handiness mostly outweighs my gripes. The scoop/emptying area will save yourself from bending down to open the cage to release the fruit and hurt your back. Just lift it up and turn to it on its side over a bucket or preferably a wheel barrow.

Patio weeder
The only think I did not like about this tool is the cover for the sharp head will not stay on. I have 5 small grand children and this does worry me as the tool is very sharp. It works great and I love that I can interchange items with just the one handle. Very easy to switch and all the parts that I have bought so far are very well made and sturdy. I love how thin the head of this is so I can get in those small cracks that drive me crazy with weeds.

Hand rake
I love that the Gardena can be used with their pole to use any of the items from this set. It is really well made and sturdy. I like that I can use it as a hand rake or attach it to the pole for standing. Love all the ones that I have bought.

PICK UP NUTS WITH ONE HAND AND DRINK A CUP OF COFFEE WITH THE OTHER..... LITERALLY!!!
This nut gatherer is amazing! It does a FANTASTIC job picking up our walnuts. We highly recommend also buying the handle (priced separately).....the handle is very sturdy and sharp looking....and you can start picking up nuts right away! It’s pricey up front, but it has paid for itself over and over again. A good tool is worth its weight in gold and this is one of those tools. For years we have picked up walnuts in our back yard by hand. We finally invested in this tool and we LOVE it. The discharge chute on the side is another GREAT feature that makes the process faster, saves on the back, and also prevents your hands from getting stained! (We have not found any other nut gatherer that has this discharge chute feature, and we would not want to give up this feature because of the three advantages previously stated.) My husband and I used to pick up walnuts together, and now we argue who gets to do the job! He LOVES having his morning coffee while listening to the birds and rolling the nut gatherer along to pick up our walnuts. Who would have ever thought that picking up walnuts could actually be relaxing!!!????

Not for Nuts
Ok...So we have been going to the family orchard for decades to pick up after the tenant farmer harvests. We have used a variety of other tools to spare our back. The POSITIVE for this model, The dumping mechanism works great. That was always the drawback for the nut weasel models. The NEGATIVE? It drops nuts almost as fast as picking them up. You can get 10-12 walnuts in there before they start falling out through the cage as you open it to pick up more. On Level ground it is pretty good. Rough ground, not so much. They need to fix that hampster wheel of theirs to make this a 5 star.OH dont forget to buy the handle too. Expensive.

Love it!
We have weeds in our pavers and this tool removes them effortlessly. I then use distilled vinegar a squirt bottle in the grooves to kill the leftover roots.

Exceptionally useful tool head for Combisystem
Very light and easy to finesse in tight spaces. For an older person like me, the light weight is extremely important to stave of fatigue and be able to work longer. I've owned one of these since the late '80s when I bought it in Germany. It's beat up but still works fine. This one will ultimately go to the next generation of gardeners in my family.

does its job extremely well.
After using a normal garden rake to remove some thatch from my small lawn 18 square Metres, i managed to fill two normal size carrier bags of dead grass etc thinking I had done a great job.A few youtube videos later I came to the conclusion that I need an aerator rake to get the job done properly.I decided to purchase this gardena aerator as I already had the handle for my rake and know the tools are of good quality however not cheap.Once it arrives I attached my handle and went to work (not the easiest task). To my surprise I managed to rake out a further 2 black bags of thatch and my lawn looked a proper mess.6 weeks on and my lawn looks fantastic.Definitely an excellent tool if you have a lawn and helps with its up keep..

Best thing to pick up apples
The media could not be loaded. Delighted with this. Really does the job even in long grass. Some of our apples are about big to come out the funnel but they can be pulled back through the wires. Going to make picking apples "joyous" as per my daughter's words in the video!!

One of the best gadgets I ever bought - if you have a fruit tree, you need this!!
I'm forever plagued by apples around July time; they fall from the tree and sit on my lawn and drive, clogging the mower and getting squished as I drive over them. They even roll down the gentle hill where I live so that my neighbours can share in the 'fun' ;-) Apart from being unsightly, they attract all kinds of insects and every year I get a seriously achey back trying to pick them all up. Otherwise I'm fond of the tree and can't bring myself to get rid of it - anyway......I must have just cleared 50-100 apples in about 5 minutes with this thing and it is absolutely fantastic; no back-bending required and one of the few 'gadgets' I have ever owned that surpassed my expections!Caution! For anyone not aware, the Gardena Combisystem is a range of handy 'heads' such as this one that are designed to fit onto a universal handle; the idea being that you buy the handle only once, and then a range of different heads to suit your needs, presumably slightly cheaper than buying the same tools with a handle every time.In other words, and as another reviewer found out to his disappointment, this collector will arrive without a handle, and so you will need to buy a Combisystem handle if you don't already own one. They start at around £8 though, so this tool is still cheaper than rival products (with attached handles) on eBay and the like.

Well made, but.......
This item is robust and well made, however it does not do its intended job very well. As a raker of leaves it is fine. The cheaper, larger, plastic rake I have works just as well. Where this Gardena falls down is the tines are curved 'upwards' at the extreme ends. This means the rake 'combs', even caresses, the dead moss and thatch, leaving it in situ, rather than scraping it out for disposal. I could have removed (cut off) the last 15mm of each tine, but that's not the point. It's not fit for its main purpose as supplied. It does remove loose thatch if the handle is vertical, but because of the (normal) curvature, less than half the width is in contact with the ground. I have awarded two stars because it does rake dead leaves.
