Excellent product. Durable: After weeks of use & cleaning, they still look & feel new. Comfortable: I trimmed the long stems halfway and wear these to sleep every night without issue. They stay in all night if inserted properly. Effective: My room has a large window air conditioner unit, which is too loud to be around very long. When I sleep in the same room, with these ear plugs in, that noise is reduced enough that I'm able to easily fall asleep. Cleanable: The ear plugs come with simple cleaning instructions. Hydrogen peroxide, water, & dish soap. I put the mixture in a shot glass each morning, soak the ear plugs for a little while, scrub them with a clean tooth brush, rinse them, and let them air dry. Cleaning is tricky for me since I've cut the stems to half length, so I sometimes drop them when holding & scrubbing them. Good value: 3 pairs of ear plugs that each last a long time, 3 cases for them, and a small bag. The little bag can be used for many other things, even dice for tabletop gaming. The cases can also be reused. I need to take supplements & medicine, and earplug cases work really well for holding my morning/evening/bedtime pills when I'm away from home for the day or camping for the weekend.

I'm a light sleeper, a stomach sleeper currently sleeping in the middle of a high-traffic living room for a while. Doors are opened and closed, coffee is being made, and so on. These ear plugs definitely fit my needs best. I tried moldable silicone ear plugs, a normal and a firm, higher sound reduction foam earplugs, and these ear plugs. The moldable silicone ear plugs were the most comfortable, but the sound reduction was not ideal, even when the product was listed as 32nrr. The normal firm earplug was rated about 32nrr and did an ok job at canceling noise, but only ok. I sleep with one ear to the pillow, so the foam earplug would come undone while sleeping. Additionally, they were only decently comfortable. The extra firm earplug was supposedly rated for 35nrr, which is quite high, but potentially factual given how firm they were. These were the most uncomfortable. They cancelled noise quite well, but the noise cancellation was nearly identical to what these ear plugs offer. These ear plugs are excellent at canceling noise. The three layer design is somewhat similar to how shooting range ear plugs work, so maybe that's in part why they work so effectively. They let me sleep while doors are being opened/closed, glasses are clinking around, etc. (That being said, there's no substitute for asking people to be quiet while you're sleeping.) They're quite comfortable, and even though the thin stem sticks out a little bit from my ears, they never come loose. They're also easy to keep clean - just easily wipe off any ear wax on the tip when you take them out. I bought multiple ear plugs so you don't have to - get these.

After struggling with numerous brands of foam earplugs for sleeping, I decided to give these a try. They are easy to insert and remove, and they stay in my ears much better than foam. They accomplish what I need in terms of noise reduction. The stems can easily be cut to make side sleeping comfortable. I don't love how the silicone seems to make my ears a bit itchy in the night, but this is the only reason I'm not giving them a 5-star rating.

The best earplugs I have ever owned. I’ve worn earplugs for years as my room in my house is in the middle of everything. Add 4 adults and 2 kids under 4 and it’s a very loud house. I’ve tried just about every earplug, and I have the same problem: trouble getting them in, and them always falling out. These earplugs solve all my issues with earplugs and I’ve never been happier. So easy to use, just pull your ear up and twist it in. It feels so secure, no fumbling with rolling the ends and holding it in place. Nice snug fit that’s comfortable. I put them in at night, and I wake up when I want, no 5:30am screaming matches and toys being thrown down stairs to wake me. If I were awake, I could hear commotion but it sounds very distant. Best part: they’re washable and reusable. No more scattered earplugs around. I have very small ears and these are comfortable. Best money I’ve spent.

These ear plugs do help reduce noise. My husband snores, and they definitely take the edge off so it’s much quieter and easier to fall asleep. They’re soft and block a good amount of sound. However, I’m a side sleeper and petite, that’s where they became uncomfortable for me. The length of the plugs makes them stick out a bit, and when I’m laying on my side they press into my ear. I found myself waking up more often because they were poking or causing pressure. They do work for noise reduction, but if you primarily sleep on your side, the length may make them uncomfortable for overnight use.

There’s a baby in my house and she screams like crazy, like a banshee. In the middle of the night. In the room right next to mine. Not a good time when you need to get up at 5am the next day. I also have two dogs that bark like crazy whenever the doorbell rings or someone walks past our house. They’re both extremely loud. I have sleep disorders and it’s already difficult enough to sleep. My sleep doctor suggested I buy ear plugs (and a sleep mask) to help me. Let me tell I’m so thankful for these ear plugs. I’ve tried multiple types of ear plugs from foam to plastic and these are hands down my favorite. The foam ones are best for blocking out noise, but they get dirty quickly and needed replacing after a couple uses. The plastic ones are hard, uncomfortable, and aren’t very good at blocking out noise. Just muffles it. These war plugs are silicone. They are soft and comfortable. They block out most noise like my loud fan completely, and significantly reduce the noise of others such as, I don’t know, a screeching baby and barking dogs. The grip can be cut and I know some people have cut them because they can feel them when they sleep, but I haven’t done that. I sleep on my side but I don’t really feel them dig in. I think because I have a deep ear canal. If you have smaller ears you might have to cut the grips, but if you have deep canals like me you should be fine. Overall, these ear plugs are great. They are easy to clean and do a good job of blocking and reducing noise.

EDIT: I had the good sense to cut back the stupid long tab that sticks out from these things right back, and these are now the best earplugs, no pain! Great noise cancelling. (I do not recommend doing this if you have large ear canals, they could get stuck). They're great for a night or two but I find after a few days, they begin to hurt, and I need to swap them for softer, moldable silicone plugs for a night before going back to these. I prefer these to the silicone ones only because they're reusable and can be washed almost over and over before needing replacement. Much less waste. Original post: These are excellent noise cancelling earplugs. However, for my small ear canals, they're too big and quite painful after a full night of use. The first night I used them as is, and thought maybe it was the long tab used to insert them that was causing pain, so I chopped off most of the tab hoping for less pain, however after two nights with them in, my ears were sorer than ever. The pack comes with three pairs which is great but I wish they'd make them in different sizes for people with different sized ears!!

The ear plugs are very good and block noise well. Yet, you can still hear things, if needed. They have lasted more than 3 years with slowly replacing them as the plugs break down over time. I'm on my last of the 3 sets. My only complaint is that I ordered the black ones and was sent the blue ones.

Love these ear plugs. They stay in my ears and really cut out noise. Use them at bed time since my husband snores.

not sure though how the strings connect to spare ear plugs.

I tried many types of earplugs (foam, wax) and these are the only ones that fit my narrow ear canals, were comfortable enough to sleep in, and reduced sound. I'm a side sleeper so I trimmed off the stalks as directed, and have no trouble sleeping with them in. Made a positive difference to day sleeping, travel, and when troubled by noise in the night. Have recommended them to family and friends who have had similar positive experiences.

These ear plugs work fantastically. I have small ear canals and other ear plugs would just pop out. You twist these in and they create a vacuum and you can hear very little. I bought these because I am very sensitive to noise especially when going to sleep and could hear my neighbours tv which drove me nuts! These ear plugs completely blocked out the sound and I got to sleep within a few minutes as opposed to the usual hour or more on most occasions. They are so easy to insert (as per video on the listing) and they are comfortable to wear! I'm a side sleeper and these caused no problems as they are soft silicone. The amount of sound the block out is incredible even low frequency sounds but you can still hear your alarm in the morning. I highly recommend these!
