Rhode Island Novelty 13 Inch Alien Head Wax Motion Lamp

This thing is awesome. It lights up well and looks amazing. My daughter already tried to negotiate me into giving it to her but this one belongs to dad. If you are looking for a cool addition to your bedroom or office decor then you can't go wrong with this alien lava lamp and it's a pretty good size as well.

Years ago I bought a Lava Lamp and the liquid was cloudy. I ordered two more Lava Lamps recently at the same time that I bought this Alien Lamp. These other two Lava Lamps are also cloudy. You would think that after decades of dominating the Lava Lamp market they could consistently produce a quality product by now. The cloudiness of Lava Lamps is such a significant issue that there are videos and websites online that try to help people fix the cloudiness. Of course, to fix it, you have to pop the bottle cap off, which immediately voids any warranties. This Alien Lamp (which is not an official Lava Lamp brand) apparently gets it right. I wasn't sure what to expect with this lamp. Generally, my tastes are refined but more on the conservative side (i.e., understated elegance). A lamp with an Alien base seemed a bit corny. And to be honest, I'm not even sure what the deciding factor was for me to buy it (and that was only like a week ago). Now that I have it, I can say that it's actually a really neat looking lamp. The Alien base is well done and the features of it are crisp and detailed. And the liquid in the glass, while colored green, is crystal clear. Well done to whoever engineered this lamp (Lava Lamp, the brand, could use your help it would seem).

I liked everything about the product, but after about 6 months, the lava went bad, there’s not option to buy a new replacement glass bottle for the base, so the base becomes useless and I have to buy a new lava lamp. I only give 1 or 5 stars, this product gets one for durability.

This was a birthday gift for my brother. He’s a big fan of Aliens. Works 100% and nice to put as a display. He loves it.

I was really exited for this to come in the mail. What a HUGE disappointment. Came with a blown bulb and the packaging was open and all beat up with no instructions. Updated from a 1 Star to a 4. I went to a hardware store and bought a new bulb and installed it. Once it’s up and running she looks amazing. Will not be giving it a 5 due to having to go out of my way to buy a bulb and terrible packaging.

This was a huge hit as a Christmas gift for my bf who loves anything alien.
