I'm a college professor, and have been using this to improve the sound quality on my instructional videos. I feel pretty good about the quality from it, especially after I remove background noise (it picks up stuff like the sound of my clothes rustling.)THINGS I LIKE:- the sound quality is good (I'm not a professional, so take this for what it's worth)- the clip works great- there is a switch so you can use it with a camera (or audio interface) on the one hand, or with a phone or computer input jack on the other.THINGS I DON'T LIKE:- the cable is overwhelmingly long. I would have preferred a shorter cable together with an extension cord. It's a tangled mess.- the battery life is just ok. My battery is starting to die after about 2 months of moderately heavy use.Why I added a star: I replaced the battery, and the sound quality improved. I like the way I sound on this mic -- it makes me sound a bit less nasally than some mics do.

I bought these because they were in-expensive and they work great! I've them a few times and the sound was good coming through my videos; no static or skips and they made a great difference in video sound quality rather than using my laptop or iphone alone. Nice long cords so great up close or a few feet away.

I'm happy with the quality of this lavalier lapel mic - audio quality is good for interview with two people. Its NOT possible to separate and use with just one microphone, so if you want to interview just one person, you'll be dealing with double the wires in any case.However, I gave it only 4-stars because I think the product description could have been a bit more clear that this is a TRRS microphone jack, and will not work with cameras that require TRS. I think the statement in the description is a bit to general and can lead someone to believe it will work with ANY camera/phone, etc. since it has the word "universal" in the heading and in the description.I purchased this to use with my GoPro Hero 6 Black ( w/ Audio adapter ). However I learned later that I needed to purchase an adapter in order to make it work with my camera. This product has a 3.5mm TRRS Jack - so an adapter is needed. This from the GoPro support website: "TRRS to TRS Adaptor to properly work with GoPro cameras". So - I cannot fault the vendor because if you dig way down in the specs its clear that this is sold as a "TRRS Jack" - but it would have been nice to see that on the first page of the description. In this case "universal" is a bit overstated in my own humble opinion.

I got 2 of them. They work fine for me. I record into a Sony PCM-M10 or a Zoom H4N Pro. I'm not an audio engineer, but I like the way the recordings sound. And the price is right, too.

The microphone works well and the fact that there is no battery is really nice.However, the seller's note in the description "We provide 24-month warranty and lifetime customer service" isn't accurate.I gave a low rating for "Ease of Use" due to the fact that the foam windscreen constantly falls off.When attempting to contact customer support through the BOYA store, I was greeted with a 404 error as the webpage was not found.I sent an email directly to customer support on the BOYA website. It's been well over a week with no response.

Great quality sound for a small mic, just be diligent putting the long cable away or keep it coiled and velcro wrapped if you dont need the length otherwise its nice having the length.
