I've had an old Farberware garlic press for approximately 25 years and always thought it was a pain in the you know what to use, but better than dicing it with a knife. It never mashes the entire clove and is a pain to clean. I used my mother in law's Pampered Chef press and was so impressed, I went on a search for something similar here on Amazon because PC thinks their stuff is made of gold and I didn't want to line their pockets with my hard earned money. That's when I stumbled onto this contraption. I watched the video and read the reviews and thought for $8, what do I have to lose? When it arrived, I was immediately impressed with how sturdy it feels. The handle portion is comfortable to hold and feels durable. It just so happened that I needed to mince three cloves for the recipe I was making for dinner the evening it arrived, so I put it to the test. It does take a bit of pressure to mince the garlic, but not unreasonably so. Three large cloves were completely minced in less than a minute with no wasted garlic. Cleanup is super easy and quick as well. Goodbye old press!

This may work with very fresh garlic, but basically the product squished the garlic... a small amount came through the holes. My garlic was not the freshest, but a regular garlic press worked fine after I found that this didn't work. It does not work well at all.

easy to use but you waste alot

Disappointed in how this works. Garlic doesn't go all the way through. Have to scrape off one side and still chop that. Really hard to clean unless you have toothpicks garlic stays in the holes.

This cool looking tool simply doesn't work. What a waste. Oh well.

If you try to rock the tool onto the garlic clove, it just slides away. When I placed the clove in the middle and pressed straight down, the tool did mash the garlic thru the holes. Getting the garlic out of the holes was terrible. You could scrape off the parts that came thru, but the parts left in the holes had to be pushed thru with a tiny poker. Using the tool made my wrist hurt. Don’t waste your money on this. I returned it.

Easy to use but need to press hard and a lot got stuck in the holes. A toothpick took care of that. Pretty easy to clean. Didn't seem anymore waste than a traditional press. Hanging on to my old press until I decide which I like best.

This is the best garlic press I have owned. Super easy to use and easy to clean. It just rinses off!
